MS Track recap from Coach Livingstone!
The squad rounded out the season, before Mega Stars/States next week, in another convincing and impressive showing against the best of northern Michigan.
The boys team took home 3rd and a trophy, in front of Kingsley and Reed City last Thursday in front of a packed house at Manton HS. I can't tell you how proud I am of the girls and boys team gutting out a long and tough season. Battling injuries, terrible weather conditions and all the other schools fierce competition. Us coaches couldn't be more proud of this very talented group.
🐾In the 70M Maverick Abel was 2nd behind Trip Gle of TC East, and the same for the 100M and 200M in very 3 very close races
🐾In the 800M Jackson Burtis took 4th, 3rd in the 1600 and 6th in the 3200
🐾In the 55H Thomas Gray placed with an 8th
🐾In the 4x100 Jonathon Swanson, Jackson Masten, Bryson Burns, and Griffin Gross placed 5th, while on the girls side Jasmin Angus, Adysen Johnston, Ava Schiattone and Lizzy Comerzan placed 8th
🐾In the 4x200 the team of Eli Rodgers, Jonathon Swanson, Brayden Varney and Jackson Masten placed 6th, while on the girls side Isabella Rathbun, Alysa Lugo, Layla Mayowski, and Ava Schiattone placed 7th
🐾In the Shot Put, Bryson Burns took 2nd, while newly minted state qualifier Jasmin Angus placed 6th and Ady Johnston an 8th
🐾In the HJ Griffin Gross continued his march to Mega with a first place, while on the girls side Ady Johnston set a school record with a 4'7" and took 5th
Our talent got us here, but our work ethics and preparation are what kept us going. The group bought into the team first-first structure, especially for the longer runs. When we executed our game plan our natural abilities shined through and we gobbled up points vs the other schools. What a great group as we now wind down to 7 going forward into next week's finale. Go Bobcats!
