MATER #1973384 is only 8 months old. He is still a puppy and TODAY, 08/20, is the day his life is at risk. We desperately need a RESCUE TO PULL MATER so he can make it out of the shelter alive.

Mater has already experienced abandonment and fear at an age when he should be learning what it feels like to be safe, loved and protected. He needs an experienced, patient rescue willing to give him the time and space he needs to build trust. ♥️🐶

🙏🏽 PLEASE DO NOT LET TODAY BE HIS LAST DAY. Mater deserves the opportunity to grow up, learn to trust and become the happy puppy he was meant to be. He deserves SAFETY. PATIENCE. LOVE. AND A CHANCE TO LIVE.

🆘‼️TIMESTAMPED Aug 20 — MATER #1973384 NEEDS US NOW 🆘‼️

♥️🐕‍🦺 MATER is a handsome black, 2 yr old unneutered male who was dumped and abandoned, leaving him frightened, confused and unsure of the people around him.

This large, but terrified boy, unfortunately, Mater has not been displaying proper puppy etiquette, guarding and warning while in the shelter😔. But we know that he is truly a deserving soul of a beautiful life with a loving family.

🐕‍🦺He will gently accept treats, but when someone gets too close, his fear can take over and he may growl or lunge. Those of us who understand fearful and sensitive dogs know something important: trust cannot be forced. It must be earned on THEIR time, not ours. 🐶🙋‍♂️💕🙋🏽‍♀️

🐶Mater deserves the chance to learn that people can be kind and trusted. He deserves to feel safe. He deserves to know that he is wanted, valued and loved and that HIS LIFE MATTERS. ♥️🐶
