Shadey is a fun, energetic guy who loves zooming around the yard, sniffing everything in sight 🌿 & playing with rope toys. He’s affectionate, food motivated 🍗 & comes over for attention, but he’s also a sensitive soul who needs patience, decompression & a calmer environment to truly feel safe.

✨ 5/22 Playgroup:
Shadey entered the yard full of excitement with adorable zoomies, wiggles & playful bows 🥹🐕 He even grabbed his own leash to entertain himself while waiting for another dog. He engaged in rough & rowdy play with Chevy Chase & responded well to handlers redirecting him.

✨ 5/17 Evaluation:
Easy to leash, eager to come out, knows “sit,” takes treats gently & stayed close to handlers. While being pet, he did a cute little tippy tap dance with his back feet 🥹💕

He does show signs of stress in the shelter environment, including excessive shedding & sensitivity with certain touching, but food, patience & positive interaction help him relax.

Our sweet senior girl, Princess, tragically lost her life on May 25, 2026. 🕊️🐾 Her story should have ended wrapped in love, comfort, & safety… not in a shelter kennel waiting for someone to see her worth. 😢

Princess was a beautiful soul with gentle eyes, a loving heart, & so much kindness left to give. Senior dogs like her are too often overlooked, yet they love the deepest. They ask for so little… just a soft bed, a caring hand, & someone to call family. 🐕💕

It’s heartbreaking knowing Princess never got the retirement she deserved. No cozy couch. No peaceful backyard naps. No final chapter filled with love. 💔

Today we honor her life & mourn the loss of another innocent soul gone too soon. Please say her name. Please remember her face. Please let her story inspire compassion for the countless senior dogs still waiting in shelters tonight. 🕯️🙏

You’ll usually find me standing at the front of my kennel with my tail wagging nonstop 💕 ready for walks, cuddles & love.
