Seeds to Sew is a Fair Trade shop on Seminary Ave. in Hopewell, NJ. Our shop is open Tue-Fri 11-6, and some Saturdays 11-6. Call 609-527-4889 or e-mail [email protected] to schedule appointment. Our online store is open 24/7! https://seedstosew.org/.
We carry fair trade gifts from around the world -- Kenya, India, Guatemala, as well as Hopewell Pottery (locally handmade functional pottery and handblown glass) and handmade fundraising products made by our student volunteers. Seeds to Sew is focused on empowering women & educating girls in underserved areas of Kenya.

Seeds to Sew International, Inc, is a New Jersey 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to developing educational and economic opportunities for women and girls in underprivileged communities in Kenya.

Come on down Seminary Ave! Our shop is open and full of new inventory from Kenya.

These little hearts are handmade out of soapstone, and polished to perfection, some are painted and carved. Get one for a friend and one for yourself, they are a great pocket reminder that you are loved. ❤️

All proceeds from sale pay for school fees of girls in our education program in rural Kenya.

Our shop on Seminary Ave. in Hopewell is full of Fair Trade gifts from around the world. All kinds of shapes and textures, from sisal to olive wood, beads, soapstone, handwoven cotton, paper...

All net proceeds help fund the education of girls in rural Kenya whose families would otherwise be unable to afford school fees, while also supporting women entrepreneurs in rural communities.

Open Tue-Fri 10-5 and Sat 10-4.

When you shop at Seeds to Sew, you support education of girls in rural Kenya such as Shron, whose mother could not afford Shron's school fees. Shron is a bright student and we are happy to sponsor her last 2 years of high school. She will be graduating in December.

A BIG STEP FORWARD FOR OUR ENKISOMA PROGRAM!

We’re incredibly excited to share an important new chapter in the journey of our Enkisoma Program: the establishment of the Enkisoma Pay It Forward Initiative (EPIF) as a Kenyan-led Community Based Organization (CBO).

This is a milestone we’ve been working towards — building a sustainable, locally-led future for the Enkisoma Program so that the impact of one girl’s education can continue to the next generation.

Recently, our program manager Alice traveled across Kenya, from our Nyeri location to Transmara District, to meet with Agnes and Elizabeth, former Enkisoma scholarship recipients and now the first officials of the newly established CBO. (read more on our website – link in profile)

EPIF is more than a scholarship program. It’s a cycle of opportunity:

Receive. Grow. Give back. Help another girl rise. Help that girl to lift another.

We want to give a huge thank you to our friend David Sardar (and our mutual friend Mara, who introduced us!) for his incredible help over the past year. David generously volunteered countless hours brainstorming with us, reviewing and editing documents, asking important questions, and helping us fine-tune the program so we could build a strong foundation for the future. We are so grateful for his expertise, generosity, and belief in our mission.

And, of course, THANK YOU to all of our supporters and customers who believe in our mission for your continued support of Seeds to Sew and the Enkisoma Program over the years. None of this would be possible without you. ❤️

EPIF will remain under Seeds to Sew oversight, and we still have a lot of work ahead as the Kenyan team grows toward greater independence, but this is a remarkable step — and we couldn’t be more excited or grateful for what lies ahead.
