Bring us your leftover Caron Simply Soft Yarn (medium weight) and we are going to turn it into warm, soft hats to give out to our recipients and their families.

I’m going to leave the yarn in the lobby so you and your friends will be able to grab some and bring it home and make hats for us.

I’m also thinking we will host a random day or two (during the week and maybe a random Saturday) for you to come to us. If you have basic crocheting or knitting knowledge- Chauntel and Karina can help you….we can do it together over snacks.

What do you guys think? I’m always looking for creative ways to help the 400 plus people we deliver to.

Facing a cancer diagnosis sucks. Let’s make it less sucky.

Mummy meatloaf. That’s what was on the menu this week, along with our pumpkin patch pudding.

We can do what we do, because of all the support you give us. Thank you to everyone that dropped off candy.

Which reminds me-

The pumpkin shaped Reese PB cup is way better than the regular PB cup. It’s the ratio of PB to chocolate. I will die on that hill. 🤣

We are teaming up with our local ShopRite in Lagrange (Route 82 near the Taconic).

This Sunday, customers can help us with pie ingredients by donating a bag at the register all day long!

How convenient. It’s National Pumpkin Day and boy do I have just the thing for you!

Sparrows Nest is debuting our very own Pumpkin Pie this Thanksgiving and there are only 35 left 🤣

Donate a pie, purchase the pie that made us famous- our Apple Crumb - or grab our popular Lemon Blueberry Crumb.

We should have 2,000 pies sold in the next few days! Crazy talk!!!

All proceeds help us feed more than 400 people each week, receiving our services because of a cancer diagnosis.

WELL, THAT ESCALATED QUICKLY!

We planned to bake 3,000 pies for Thanksgiving this year, and in just ONE WEEK, you've already ordered almost 1900 OF THEM!

MORE. THAN. HALF. OUR. PIES. IN. ONE. WEEK.

I mean, we know you love our pies, but...WOW!

Now, before anyone panics, we are MORE than happy to bake additional pies! But here's the thing… we need to know sooner rather than later. We have apples to order, blueberries to buy, volunteers to organize, and a kitchen that's about to look like a flour bomb went off in it.

So, if you're planning to order, PLEASE don't wait!

Our Thanksgiving lineup:

Apple Crumb (the one that started it all!)

Blueberry Lemon Crumb (ohhhh, she's good!)

Pumpkin (because it's Thanksgiving, people!)

Give a Pie to someone facing cancer

Give a Thanksgiving meal to one of the 140 families we feed

Pies are $25 NOW, but the price jumps to $30 on November 15th! Same delicious pies, just five more dollars if you procrastinate. And we all know who you are.

I don't know whether to laugh, cry, or start peeling apples right now. Probably all three.
