An emotional evening at our Rotary meeting, as Diane Tedesco was honored with the Volunteer of the Year Award!
When Diane sees a Rotary post about an event we are doing, she shows up.
At the local Rotary food, Diane wheeled her packed cart up and Suzanne DeCosta said she help and take the items out of Diane’s cart. Sue was surprised when Diane said the entire cart of groceries was to be donated.
Laura Jones was there and witnessed the touching moment.
Diane said “when you have much to give, you have to share.”
Well, that started some tears.
Diane told us that her mother had passed but before she did, she asked Diane to make a contribution to Rotary for her.
Well now we are all blubbering!
We are so very fortunate to have a community of good souls like Diane, who show up and do good.
So we toast you, Diane Tedesco!
May you always know there is a seat for you at our breakfasts and dinners.
May you never need the charity you give others so freely.
May your generosity be an example to others.
