Scouting doesn’t stop in the winter! Troop 88 has been working hard on their Snow Sport Merit Badge this month. Today they dressed for the weather and took a 2 mile snowshoe hike to High Point Monument. Great job Troop!

Back in early July we were on our way home from summer camp. Unfortunately our trailer suffered two tire blow outs that took out the fenders as well. The first one happened in Connecticut which we used our spare we carry and were able to continue. All was good until 287 near Riverdale when we suffered the second tire blow out. We were stranded for about an hour and a half. We were making calls and checking tire shops just to get home. Well luckily we made contact with one of the cub parents Cody from hooknbooktowingnj.com who referred us to Sicardo Towing in the river dale area. He loaned us a tire and we got home. If you need help with a tow consider a call to one of these companies.

Snoopy is a Scout!

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade is only 10 days away. Snoopy, who is the longest-running character balloon in the parade, will be joined by his best buddy Woodstock to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Beagle Scouts' first appearance in Charles M. Schulz's comic strip.
