Marriage will expose your immaturity, pride, and selfishness. Marriage will expose your ability to serve. Some married couples think they need a new spouse. No! They just need to mature. Healthy marriages are built by people who make God the foundation of their marriage, and know how to lay themselves down. Immaturity says, “I am not getting what I want, so I am done.” I know, I have been there before. Marriage is not for people who only want to be served. Kings serve. Queens serve. Love is not just a feeling. It’s a choice. Love is how you serve when you are not being served. Love is how you respond when you are not getting what you want. Love is how you stay faithful when it gets hard. I am praying for marriages.

*5 WAYS TO PREPARE FOR SUNDAY ON SATURDAY*

*1. PRAY FOR AN OPEN HEART*

Ask God to make you receptive to His Word.

_Psalm 119:18 — "Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law."_

*2. PRAY FOR YOUR PASTOR*

Ask God to fill him with wisdom, power, and anointing.

_Ephesians 6:19 — "Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel."_

*3. PUT AWAY DISTRACTIONS*

Rest your mind from unnecessary clutter and noise.

_Luke 8:18 — "Consider carefully how you listen."_

*4. COME EXPECTING GOD TO WORK*

Faith anticipates God’s presence and blessing.

_Hebrews 11:6 — "He rewards those who earnestly seek him."_

*5. ATTEND TO PARTICIPATE*

Worship is not a spectator event; engage wholeheartedly.

_Psalm 100:2 — "Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs."_
