🍂 The Webelos den caught the peak fall color and took a 3 mile hike at 📌 Cheesequake State Park, NJ in the crisp autumn air. They practiced the buddy system and made sure to follow the outdoor code when exploring the diverse terrain. It was a refreshing afternoon and nice to burn off all that Halloween candy, or were we snacking on candy during the hike? 🫣 🎃🍬

🌊Our scouts joined Clean Ocean Action and cleaned up Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park. We love doing our part in the community by keeping it clean and protecting the environment. Small plastic pieces were most commonly picked up so we're glad we could keep those out of NJ's waterways. The fun (and toxic) find of the day was part of a pufferfish! 🐡 🌊

🇺🇸 Who says you can't have a year long birthday celebration? Pack 131 took on Scouting America Liberty in Action Challenge and explored aspects of citizenship and community through making cards for troops, creating a pack mural, playing fun colonial games and making beeswax candles. We even ended with singing happy birthday to America and having some cake! 🇺🇸🎂

Another Cubtoberfest is in the books! Even in the brisk weather, we were able to enjoy so many fun activities at Quail Hill Scout Reservation including a climbing tower, costume parade, decorating pumpkins, a hike to the lake, BBs, archery, slingshots and much more. The sun even came out when we gathered together for our pack dinner and s'mores.

Most impressively, many camped overnight where it got down to freezing temps and woke up to frost on the tents. So proud of everyone who braved the cold like champs!

So many memories were made and we will make more along the way to Family Camp in June!

The rain couldn't stop this dedicated fisher from going to the Bill Bishop Memorial Fishing Derby at Quail Hill yesterday! He even caught a sunfish! 🐟🎣👏

In preparation for Cubtoberfest next weekend, the Bears worked on their "Let's Camp" adventure tonight. They collaborated to put up and tear down tents. Afterwards they celebrated with some much deserved s'mores!

Who's excited for Cubtoberfest? It's not too late to sign up! It'll be a day filled with fun activities followed by a group dinner and a movie. And s'mores of course!

Welcome back, Pack 131!

At our meeting time, we were greeted with an incredible rainbow in the sky and over the scout trailer and couldn't help but feel Craig's presence with us. He was there to welcome us into another adventurous scouting year.

We filled the night with energy, excitement and many new friends. Scouts enjoyed inflatable hatchet throwing, archery, the sock jump and many other fun games. We are already looking forward to our next pack meeting but in the meantime will bond with our dens.

💙 Remembering Craig Percopo 💙

The Percopo family has been such a meaningful part of our Pack community by selflessly giving so much of their time and energy to support our Scouts and families.

Carrie generously organized our Pack camping trips, and their family could always be counted on to step in wherever help was needed — whether that meant driving trailers, offering rides, helping with events, tending to fires, or simply being there to lend a hand. Their reliable dedication helped make our Pack stronger and paved the way for others to volunteer, contribute, and care for one another in the same spirit.

This past July, Craig was able to attend summer camp with Troop 131. Despite his health condition, he completed the IOLs training and was awarded the Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Knowlton award for his incredible leadership and commitment. We are all inspired by his endurance, dedication and amazing example for our Boy and Cub Scouts.

Our hearts are and always will be with Craig's family as they move through this incredibly difficult time.

We took part in Hazlet's parade celebrating America's 250th. The energy was high early in the morning and we kept it going until the grand finale fireworks at dusk! 🇺🇸🎇

Our scouts joined Holmdel Township and released butterflies in remembrance of those who lost their lives on 9/11 and honored the heroes of that day.

25 years later, always remember. We will do our duty with acts of service to never forget.
