Our cast spotlight continues with Michael Lifsh*ts , who plays Jack in Death by Design!

Jack is a clever, charming chauffeur — and in a house full of suspects, everyone is a person of interest. Mike brings tremendous comic energy to the role and we can't wait for you to see him.

About Mike: After appearing in last year's Sherlock Holmes with WSP, Mike is delighted to return to the scene of the crime. In addition to recent shows with WSP, Ashland Community Theater, and Infinity Performing Arts, he loves martial arts (he recently earned a black belt in Krav Maga), baking, watching movies, animals, and spending time with friends and loved ones. To those friends and loved ones, he's eternally grateful for coming to support his silly theater hobby, and he's equally grateful for the opportunity to work with such a tremendously cool, talented cast and crew.

Performances: November 6, 7, 8, 13 & 14 — tickets available at https://www.washingtonstreetplayers.org/tickets/

We're spotlighting Chris Erath , who plays Edward Bennett in Death by Design!

Edward is a vain, urbane playwright who flees London with his wife after a disastrous opening night — and lands in a house full of secrets. Chris brings incredible range to this role — equal parts lovable and suspicious — and we cannot wait for you to see him.

About Chris: Chris returns to the WSP stage after appearing as Sherlock Holmes in last year's Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Jersey Lily. Prior to that, he was seen in Charlie Cox Runs with Scissors, Deathtrap, and I Hate Hamlet, and before that, he started acting at age 6 in a series of meaningless Shakespearean roles. Chris is a member of the WSP Board and a resident of Holliston.

Performances: November 6, 7, 8, 13 & 14 — tickets available at https://www.washingtonstreetplayers.org/tickets/

Continuing our cast spotlight series with Cassandra Jarnis who plays Sorel Bennett in Death by Design.

Sorel is a glamorous, delightfully scatterbrained actress who lights up every scene. Cassandra's performance is something truly special, and we are so proud to have her leading this cast.

About Cassandra: Cassandra is thrilled to be welcomed back to Washington Street Players after a 20-year hiatus. She began acting with the Waltham Regal Players, then continued with UMass Lowell's Off Broadway Players, and has since enjoyed performing with different community theaters. You may even remember her as Lenya in Fools or Cassie in Rumors with WSP. Some favorite past roles include Stella in A Streetcar Named Desire, Chris in Fools, and Terry in Extremities. When she's not on stage, she can be found driving a school bus for MPS or tending to her flock of chickens for endless shenanigans. A special thanks to the cast and crew of Death by Design for being so welcoming and talented! She dedicates this show to her best friend in the universe, Peggy, who continuously reminds her that laughter is the best medicine!

Performances: November 6, 7, 8, 13 & 14 — tickets available at https://www.washingtonstreetplayers.org/tickets/

🎭 Meet the Cast — Kevin Donahue as Walter Pearce

Spotlighting Kevin Donahue, who plays Walter Pearce in Death by Design!

Walter is a politician — distinguished, deliberate, and carrying the kind of secrets that make a murder mystery really interesting. Kevin brings tremendous presence to this role and we are so glad to have him.

About Kevin: Kevin was active in theater in high school and college, but then life got in the way. He spent the intervening years working in heart rhythm research and care, and rediscovered his love of theater through his daughter, Marie, who participates in Hopkinton productions. Since coming back to the stage, he has appeared in Riley vs. Riley and Children Will Listen at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts.

About Lillian: Lillian is so excited to be part of this fantastic production. Previous favorite roles include Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Ophelia in Hamlet, Olivia in Twelfth Night, and Horse in Cinderella. Yes, a horse.
