‼️Urgent: Court Transport Needed Tomorrow‼️

We’ve gotten the money situation worked out for a senior man facing eviction (we took out a loan) but we still need someone to pick him up and accompany him to court tomorrow.

**Court is at 1:30 PM, so pickup would need to be around 12:45–1:00 PM.

He needs to attend the hearing and make the payment so the eviction can be stopped.

👉 USUALLY WISH LIST WEDNESDAY IS ABOUT SUPPLIES. THIS WEEK, OUR WISH IS HELPING PRINCESS 💔

Earlier this week, we said we were going to have 2 fundraising days as we didn’t do a $5 Friday last week. After a text update we just received, today NEEDS to be the day we raise funds for Jaax.

Last week we raised funds for food to help several people and this week must be about needs for the cats we care for. Most of the cats we pull from the streets aren’t pulled because they’re friendly as we have several friendlies on our route. Many are seniors, medical cases or in many cases both.😿

Like many, Princess survived at least 8 years outside of an abandoned home amongst trash before we brought her in. She had one dental surgery already and now she’s having additional mouth issues and appears to be in pain. She’s also due for another allergy shot because her skin is getting bad again.

She is 1 of 3 who need to be seen.

People see the rescues when we first pull them but don’t see are the years of ongoing medical care that come after that we’re committed to.

Our goal today is a big ask but we need to raise $1,100 to get our Jaax balance down to $600-enough for Princess to be seen. Our allowed limit Is $1000.

❗️Our homeless cats depend on food from Wish List Wednesday. We cannot stress enough how important these weekly donations are to these cats. We truly appreciate all the donations we are receiving.

URGENT FOSTER NEEDED FOR COONAN

Coonan is currently in a foster home and needs to be moved ASAP to another foster (and is also available for adoption.) Due to a loss in the family, dynamics have changed between the pets in the home and we need to get him to a new environment as a result. Coonan is a loving cat who gets along with kids, cats and dogs. He loves attention and would make a great addition to your home!

‼️ HELP NEEDED FOR ELDERLY MAN FACING EVICTION‼️

📍Covington, KY

We’re behind on posts and we’re trying to catch up today, but this is a priority.

An elderly man we’ve known for years through the stray route, who has several pets, is now facing possible eviction. We cannot have him evicted. We’ve already reached out to an attorney this morning but with several new situations we’ve recently taken on, we do not have the time needed to dedicate to this.

➡️ We need someone patient, reliable, and preferably familiar with seniors/resources who can help with:

📌Making calls on his behalf
📌Helping him replace his phone
📌Taking him to Kenton County court Thursday at 1:30 p.m. and appearing with him

He has lived there for over 11 years. This happened after a roommate ended up hospitalized and the payments he had been contributing stopped (which we don’t believe his roommate He’s now behind two months.

We’ve dedicated a lot of resources helping others recently and neglected some of the rescue’s own immediate needs. We have several needs to post for this week including our vet
bill at Jaax Vet and something equally important this afternoon.

🚨 CURRENT MOOD: HUNGRY & HOSTILE 🚨

No shreds or pâté left. We took this photo yesterday. The limited wet food has everybody catching attitudes.

We always receive a monthly food donation that helps us tremendously (usually about 4 days worth) and it still hasn’t arrived. We literally have nothing left, and we didn’t have a $5 Friday this week-worst possible timing.

Helping so many families on top of our own route cats is draining us but we haven’t figured out a long term alternative yet. These are families on very limited incomes who do not drive, and there are more and more cats showing up in their neighborhoods.
This on top of all the cats on our route and we just acquired another colony of 18+ newly abandoned cats over the weekend who really need help 😿 (we’ll post about that tomorrow.)

📍CURRENT NEEDS:

• 1 person needs 1 case of Shreds + 1 case of Pâté by tomorrow morning
• 1 person needs 1 case of Shreds by Wednesday
• We also need multiple cases of Shreds and Pâté just to get our own route kitties through the next couple days

We cannot use Amazon for the 2 people above because food will be stolen if left outside.

Now that Tilly got your attention….

This summer we are putting a big focus on our garden project at the property we bought that 30+ homeless cats already called home…including our senior girl Tilly (who lives for her special bowl of savory centers and lil shakes). She’s 1 of several seniors who has lived there her entire life. This project is really important to us for many reasons but it’s especially important to these cats.

🖤 THIS WAS NEVER JUST ABOUT A GARDEN.
It’s about these cats and proving that humane, realistic and visually beautiful solutions can exist in areas with large homeless cat populations. We want to show what’s possible instead of just talking about it.

👉We need someone with a pickup truck who can help pick up a garden mantel from the South Lebanon OH area transport to Covington, KY. It’s 49” tall and 52” wide but not very heavy.

If anyone is available tomorrow late afternoon into early evening and can help transport from the South Lebanon/Cincinnati area back to Covington, please comment below or message us. We will cover gas.

🚨 HAVE YOU SEEN LENA? 🚨

📍 COVINGTON, KENTUCKY — near Madison & Neave by Kroger.

Lena has been on our route for 6–7 years. We could always count on Lena being there for her meals. This girl did not leave this area.

It’s now been over a week since we’ve seen her. 💔 We know someone may have seen her in the afternoon approximately 5 days ago, but this is very unlike her.

Lena is not feral, but she is not a cat you can pick up or pet either. She’ll get close but no touching.

➡️ If anyone near the Kroger on Madison has seen her, knows where she is, or has any information at all, please contact us. We just want to know she is safe or If something happened to her.

EVERYONE WANTED HER SAFE. NOBODY WANTED HER.💔

📍Northern KY/Cincinnati

Tomorrow morning we have to pick Georgie up and no one stepped up for her.

After years outside she finally got her chance indoors, away from the hateful neighbor who dumped her food daily. After the first several days, she realized she was safe and turns out she loves attention & you cannot pet her enough.

The downfall of being foster-based is that when someone backs out it leaves us in a bad spot. We posted her yesterday when we found out and not 1 app. After finally coming around she’s going into a dog cage where she’ll have very little interaction because we have nowhere for her 😿

It’s shocking how fast people assume an animal is “safe” just because somebody comments that they might take them. Just because an animal is off the street doesn’t mean they’re truly safe. When did quality of life, their mental health and whether a situation is actually right for them stop mattering?
And just because someone comments they can doesn’t mean that they will or It’s a good fit.

We spent years caring for her on the streets. Georgie is a great cat. She needs a calm environment, preferably as an only cat or with one docile cat.

We’re still hoping for a last-minute miracle 🤞🏼
