Post by -Melissa Helton —BW1 subdivision - To the parents of the kids who are driving reckless and almost caused a head on crash with my vehicle . 3 young boys in a 2-door red Polaris came flying around on 2 wheels at the entrance of BW1 by the stop sign and almost hit me head on as I was stopping — good thing I saw them first. As they flew by me after almost hitting my vehicle, they floored it.

I understand kids want to come to the country / lake and have fun but this is ridiculous. If you allow your kids to ride these ATVs and act crazy, you are responsible for their actions. My worry is they are going to get themselves killed or kill someone else. As a parent myself, and If it was my kids, I would definitely want to know . PERIOD. Happy Memorial weekend ! 🙌

The boat ramp gate is now LOCKED . We had to repair the lockbox before securing it, which caused the delay. Thank you for your patience. Please ensure the gate is locked back after each use. 🙌

FYI, there was an error on the postcard that BW1 Improvement Assn sent out announcing the annual meeting date and including instructions on how to obtain a key by mail. The address given to mail your key requests to should be 728 Beechwood Loop and not 728 Hemphill Loop. Sorry for any inconvenience. The boat ramp gate will stay locked open a little longer to accommodate anyone who has to remail their request.

FYI, the boat ramp gate has been locked open for a short time so we can change the lock and cut new keys for 2026. Keys will be available in person at the annual meeting being held Saturday, March 14 at 9:00am. The location is the Landing Zone at the Fairmount General Store. The General Store has asked that we park in the lot by the Car Wash so they will have parking available for other customers. This will be the only time keys are available in person. Keys are also available via US mail. Please send requests for keys to Beechwood One Improvement Assn, 728 Beechwood Loop, Hemphill, TX 75948. Please be sure to include your phone #, email, and return address on your request. Thanks for your cooperation!
