Nederland Witches' Ball

Nederland Witches' Ball Samhain is an ancient Celtic/pagan harvest festival. Our celebration features live music, dancing, feasting, metaphysical shopping, and ritual observances.

The 2nd Annual Nederland Witches’ Ball will be held at the Nederland Community Center on October 30th 2013. Come join us for a celebration of the harvest including live music, dancing, feasting, and honoring our beloved dead. Let your skeleton out to dance! Gipsy Moon will be performing. Dinner foodstuffs will be available for purchase along with a cauldron of soup and sweets. Vendors will offer u

nique clothing, gifts, jewelry, potions and other goodies. Come... have your fortune told... stare into the crystal ball, ask the ouija board, get your palm and tarot cards read. In recognition of Samhain, a community altar will be open to all who wish to join us in honoring our beloved dead. Guests are encouraged to bring a jack-o-lantern for the Harvest Altar (and take it home again afterwards). Doors will open at 6:30 pm. The evening will culminate with a spiral dance and a brief solemn Samhain ritual for those who care to stay. No alcohol will be served. This event is not geared for children, although they will not be turned away at the door. (It's just that there will be a lot of witches around and some of them will be hungry.)
