As the sun settled behind the mountains this evening, a few familiar faces came over to check on me during my evening yard walk. Moments like this are a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.
Last week was incredibly productive here at the sanctuary. We completed several wonderful home checks and are so excited about the bright futures ahead for some very deserving horses. Finding the right home is never rushed, and every successful match reminds us why this work matters so much.
While summer brings a pause to our public tours, it never slows the daily rhythm of sanctuary life. Each morning begins early with feeding, cleaning, fresh water, health checks, maintenance projects, and caring for every animal who calls this place home. The days are long, but they are filled with purpose.
Behind the scenes, we are hard at work preparing for the fall season. From facility improvements and educational programs to new visitor experiences and ongoing animal care projects, there is always something happening. We are excited about the opportunities ahead and the many ways we can continue making a difference—not only in the lives of these beautiful animals, but in the lives of the people who visit them as well.
Our volunteers continue to be an incredible blessing, helping us move forward one project at a time. Their dedication, kindness, and willingness to serve make so much of this work possible.
As always, thank you for following our journey, believing in our mission, and standing beside us as we continue building a place where animals can heal, people can connect, and hope can flourish.
The work never stops. The hope never fades.
Summer may pause our tours, but it never pauses our commitment. 🖤
