Tomorrow officially begins TWO WEEKS OFF! ❤️

I’ll post sporadically on this page, but for the next two weeks, I will not be answering dog calls or taking in any new dogs. We are officially CLOSED to intakes.

And for the first time in a while… ZERO DOGS ARE IN BOARDING TODAY! 🙌🐾

Our vet bill is still $2,800, but we were able to pay $3,000 toward it TODAY! That is only possible because of all of you.

Thank you to everyone who donates, fosters, adopts, shares our posts, transports, and supports this little rescue. I appreciate every single one of you more than you know. ❤️🐾

No one is sitting in boarding. Woohoo!!!

And now, I’m off to my next adventure! 🇨🇭✈️🏔️

I am so sorry you didn’t get the long life that you deserved. You deserved a lot more time. A lot more love. A lot more treats and belly rubs.

He got out of his yard today and was hit by a car. I’m so sad and frustrated at the same time. I don’t understand why people don’t slow down for dogs. Or stop when they hit them.

I hope you know how much you were loved Bauer. Run free sweet boy.

🍄🍁🌻 UPDATE — WE NEED A HAIL MARY! 🌻🍁🍄

Tomorrow is my LAST DAY before I’m off for two weeks, and I have one big goal before I leave:

❤️ ZERO dogs in boarding. ✅
❤️ ZERO dollars owed at the vet.
❤️ Maple is leaving on transport tomorrow! 🐾🚐

Here’s where we stand:

We received around $1,700 from Facebook today and raised another $1,000 through our fundraising efforts this week. That is AMAZING, and I cannot thank you enough.

But we still owe $2,000.

Tomorrow I’m walking into the vet to pay everything we possibly can toward this bill.

So here comes my Hail Mary…

Today is a fundraiser day.

All dogs will be out of boarding on Thursday! We will not be taking anything new for several weeks. We have a $3500 vet bill that needs to be paid in the meantime. When I get back from vacation, we will restart. But this bill must be paid before we can take any more dogs. I’m waiting to see what the Facebook Meta check is going to be. We should be getting that any day. I’m hoping that covers most of this bill. I will post an update after we get that payment.
