This Father's Day, we remember a father in every sense of the word — Dr. Phillip W. Lockhart, Sr.

A father to his own children. A principal who shaped a generation of students. A father figure to a whole community.

Above all, a man of deep Christian faith — one he never hid from anyone he met — whose quiet strength shaped nearly everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
He had a gift for pushing you toward your best. "If you want to be a beast," he'd say, "do what beasts do." And when he knew you were capable of more, you'd get that famous "You so sorry!" — never an insult, always a challenge, always love.

He lived what he taught. As a fitness enthusiast and trainer, he believed in showing up for your body the same way you show up for your people.
And one proverb followed him everywhere: "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together."

That's the heartbeat of this foundation. Everything we do is about going far — together — and keeping his love and leadership alive for the next generation.
So today, we honor him — and every father in our community making a difference. And in the days ahead, we invite you to help us carry it forward.

On July 18, we'll gather in Helena, AR for our 4th Annual Run/Walk — fitting, isn't it, for a man who loved both the work and the workout. Whether you lace up your shoes or simply stand with us, there's a place for you in this legacy.
