The position is from Monday to Thursday 3:45 PM to 5:45 PM. The role of the teaching position is to provide a safe,balanced and engaging environment that supports a child's academic,social and physical growth. Hip's Spectacular Summer Camp ended with a carnival. The older students made games out of cardboard, and the younger students received prizes if they played the games and won. 1st place winners were Josmelia Canela & Mya Acosta (game: "Pink Ping Pong Ice Cream Shooter"). 2nd place went to Brianna Alcanzar, Dailene Núñez, and Alaia Almonte (game: "Feed the Animals"). 3rd place went to Leandro Llerena & Ethan Mejía (game: "Knock It Off").

​El espectacular campamento de verano de Hip terminó con un carnaval. Los estudiantes mayores hicieron juegos de cartón y los estudiantes más jóvenes recibían premios si jugaban y ganaban. El primer lugar lo ganaron Josmelia Canela y Mya Acosta con el juego "Pink Ping Pong Ice Cream Shooter". Yesterday we celebrated the Birthday of Dona Olga Lantigua . Olga is HIP 's kitchen supervisor beloved by all the children and grown ups alike .

Carbon County Enviromental Education Center made a vist to HIP's Summer camp during "Animinal Explorers" Week.The campers saw a live king snake and Great Horn Owl up close.They also saw a variety of animinal pelts including a large brown bear.They learned a better appreciation and awareness of their enviroment.

Once again, Pathways to Recovery has partnered with HIP to offer some of our campers' favorite clubs each week. This week, during Art Week, one of the projects was painting symbols and pictures on rocks. Then, the campers created stories from the art on the rocks. Vicky Perez from Community Bank came to teach the campers how to spend money wisely. And again this year, eye exams were given by the Lions Club.

The HIP summer camp offers our campers many educational and enriching activities. Deb Teletovich, a bee keeper came and taught the campers about honey bees and how important bees are to the global ecosystem and how they produce honey and beeswax.
Jareyvi Elich a Senior, and President of HIP's student volunteers group called Hip Corp United, taught the older campers how to make charms using a 3 D printer. Luis Vasquez from Geissinger Pathway Program brought a lung machine to show campers and talked about how to have healthy lungs.

HIP's Summer Camp week 2 "Everyday Heroes" ended with our campers making new friends and learning what it takes to be an everyday hero . Thank you to the firefighters, paramedic,and city street workers who visited during the week and taught us what they do and how they make our community a safe place.
