The HAAS Shout Outs program recently donated to the HIP center.

The "Good Morning Shout-Outs" program at HAAS promotes a positive school climate and stronger connections between students and staff! 😃

For a $1 donation, students and staff can submit positive messages to be read during morning announcements!

The program encourages kindness, recognition, and a positive start to each school day while supporting mental health awareness. All proceeds will be donated monthly to local nonprofit agencies.

In just 7 days we have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children in our community through 💙💚
Donations this year will be matched to provide up to a FULL YEAR of paid-after school programming for 10 students. That means that together, we can open doors for children to grow academically, build confidence, and create brighter futures!

Attached is this week's schedule for these groups at the HIP center. Review your child's practice and activity times and make sure they arrive on time.
* Saturday arrival time: 9:45 AM
* Practice days arrival time: 6:00 PM

The Hazleton Integration Project held its annual Volunteer Awards Ceremony on May 03 at the HIP Center in Hazleton. The Greater Hazleton Volunteer Service Awards is sponsored by the City of Hazleton, the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce, Junior Leadership and the Hazleton Integration Project.
This year’s student volunteers consisted of 45 students from several local schools such as, Hazleton Area High School, Hazleton Area Academy of Sciences, Hazleton Area Career Center, MMI Preparatory School, Hazleton Area Arts and Humanities, Hazleton Area Cyber Academy and Charis Academy.
Bob Curry, Founding President of HIP said “This was the most dedicated group of students volunteering in their community. The collective number of hours, more than 7,000, is amazing.
