At Heartwood Center, we believe that even the smallest comforts can make a big difference. For many of our members experiencing homelessness or food insecurity, a warm cup of coffee is more than just a drink — it’s comfort, dignity, warmth, and a moment of peace during a difficult day.

We are currently in need of a Keurig for our cafeteria so we can continue providing coffee and warmth to those who walk through our doors each day.

If you have a gently used Keurig you’d be willing to donate, or would like to help us purchase one, please reach out to us directly. Every act of kindness helps us create a more welcoming space for our community.

Thank you for always showing up for our members and supporting the work we do!

We are so grateful! ❤️

This year, Harmony Lodge did a drive for The Willow Foundation in hazleton. Their Heartwood center is open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and serves breakfast and lunch for the homeless. They also have items that people can take with them such as soap and shampoo. Members of The Lodge over the last several months collected and donated deodorant, soap, shampoo, and other toiletries. Shown here on the right is our Noble Grand Jen Swett presenting the items to the foundation. We are continuing to collect items to take up there.

Today, members of the Heartwood Center team had the opportunity to participate in the Luzerne-Wyoming Counties Mental Health and Developmental Services COPE (Cost of Poverty Experience) training.

This powerful, interactive experience deepened our understanding of the real-life challenges faced by individuals and families living in poverty. It encouraged us to reflect, build empathy, and strengthen our commitment to providing compassionate, informed support to those we serve. ❤️

We were so excited to welcome back Melanie Meshach to The Heartwood Center for another inspiring session of her collaborative art project, Imprints of Artists, part of the series An Artist Was Here! ✨

During her visit, Melanie continued her journey with the one-of-a-kind guitar she built entirely from scratch — now evolving as artists add their unique touch through fingerprints.

It’s such a special experience to be part of this growing, traveling piece that celebrates creativity, connection, and community. We’re grateful to share in it once more — thank you, Melanie, for returning and continuing to create with us.

Interested in becoming part of this living artwork? You can connect with her on Instagram at ! ✨
