Meet Porter S!
Porter has been working incredibly hard this season and continues to show dedication, sportsmanship, and determination both on and off the range.
Porter is a driven, adventure-seeking competitor who absolutely lives for a challenge. As an integral member of the Hayden Longshots, Porter has packed an incredible amount of achievement into just 1.5 years of competitive shooting—most recently taking home third place in trap in his division at the state championship this year. While he loves the entire shooting sports community, his real passion is out on the sporting clays and s***t courses where the targets are fast and dynamic.
Porter has always loved pushing boundaries and testing his limits. That fearless spirit is exactly what he brings to his squad as a valued teammate, helping them make history as the first youth trap team to win Winter League two years in a row.
His commitment to the sport goes far beyond game day. Porter dedicates himself to practicing 2 to 3 times a week during the season, constantly looking for ways to sharpen his game. He loves hanging out at the CDA Trap Club, swapping stories and laughs with the veteran shooters while soaking up their wisdom and advice.
When he isn’t breaking clays, you can usually find Porter chasing adventure somewhere in the Pacific Northwest—whether he’s hunting, fishing, snowboarding, or tackling hands-on projects like rebuilding a salvaged diesel truck. He brings that exact same grit, curiosity, and work ethic to every single target he faces.
