iCan Bike Southern Miss is set for May 18th thru the 22nd @ the Payne Center, and will teach people w/ disabilities how to ride a conventional bicycle by the end of the week.

I need 2 more riders or I will have to cancel.

That really would hurt the would be riders already committed.

Registration is easy and is only $15. Hope this is right up y'all's alley. All 75 minute session options will likely be consolidated into the 5th Session (3:35pm to 4:50pm).

Head to https://Aventurebility.org/ to find out more and register.

Any questions, please call me directly. I'll need to know by this Thursday the 30th.

5 to 15 volunteer-spotters needed as well.

Wade Walker

iCan Bike Southern Miss needs at least 5 Rider Registrations and 7 more volunteer spotter registrations or else the program will be canceled, and all the effort, time and money so far will be wasted.

Please help me in this regard. I've had to postpone this program for four years in a row, and seven years total since 2014.

The program works and gives remarkable results. I know first hand by experience. If ever anyone helped me get over a goal line, this would be the proudest moment. Thank you.

In trust,
Wade

Aventurebility is in much need of help from the Gulf South Community, and time is of the essence.

Everything regarding facilitating the iCan Bike Southern Miss in May is complete, yet we have no one registered to be a rider.

Will you please help recruit riders locally, statewide, or even regionally/across state lines?

The bare minimum could even be 3 riders in 3 sessions, with a total of 9 riders all-together. The max is 7 riders in all 5 sessions for a total of 35.

Please note the fixed financial cost does not change even if the number of riders is reduced, which adds to the value of maximum impact.

The following are the bona fide rider criteria & qualifications:

8 yrs old & above.

Able to step sideways with both feet.

Has a medically diagnosed or professionally determined disability.

Capable of attending camp all 5 days in one of the preferred sessions assigned.

Able to walk without assistive device.

Weights no more than 220lbs.

Willing and able to wear a properly fitted bike helmet and sneakers.

Minimum inseam of 20” when measured from floor while wearing sneakers.

A present parent/guardian/family representative willing and capable of helping de-escalate and resolve disruptive behaviors and return the loved one to task.

And can properly benefit in many ways by learning how to ride a conventional bicycle.

The biggest populations to benefit are people w/ Down syndrome, and/or the neurodiverse (formerly known as on the Autism spectrum).

The rider registration fee is reducable down to $7.50 (for the most hardship of cases).

Due to my own recovery from a special lower leg prosthetic surgery, I am on a month's bed rest w/ very limited travel restrictions afterward, and so I must rely on others or else a lot of time, effort, and money will be wasted.

As a reminder, the schedule w/ the Payne Center and the University of Southern Mississippi Parking Services in Hattiesburg, MS has this event occurring

May 18th thru the 23rd, 2026
w/ orientation Sunday, the 17th.

Registration will close on Saturday, May 9th.

Registration is currently open on the website:

https://Aventurebility.org/av-activity-registration

May I please count on you to help?

Sincerely and w/ good thanks,
Wade Walker

The past couple of weeks, Wade has been able to speak publicly about Aventurebility. The first official was actually a pitch in a business pitch contest. "Fish Out of Water" experience as it was, the organization met some fantastic people and gained some encouragement.
