Rooted in Christ’s love, we recommit ourselves to cultivating inclusive communities, equipping servant leaders, and creating formative faith experiences. We seek to place God’s beloved community at the center of our work and live out Christ’s call to love our neighbors. In times of pain and division, we strive to bring people together, and we invite one another to embody love of neighbor and stand for justice in our communities.

We’re off to an inspiring start!

We’ve received our first gifts toward our $10,000 matching challenge to fuel the ministry of Crossways. Each dollar you give will be matched, helping camp reach even more people in the year ahead.

This $10,000 match is possible because of a donor who says it best:
"Some days I get overwhelmed by the brokenness of the world around us. I appreciate that our digitally connected society increases our awareness of the needs and the call to action, but it is too much for me to process as a single person. After much discernment, I've come to adopt the posture that while there are innumerable good causes to give my time, energy, and finances towards, that I have to prioritize what resonates with me as the "main thing." For me, that's the gospel of Jesus and its call to mobilize followers to be sources of love, compassion, peace-making, justice, and grace in this world. When I look to Jesus, his love reorients me to the needs of my neighbors in a way that is sustainable. I do not need to fix the world, I simply need to hear the call and do what I can.

I tell you that, to tell you this: when I think about the communities in my life that have had the greatest impact on sparking my faith and drawing me into the Way of Jesus, Crossways is at the top of the list. I love Crossways' deep commitment to proclaiming the gospel for all people, by creating a taste of inclusive beloved community. I recognize how my time at Crossways camps cultivated gifts of faith and leadership in me, and in people I love dearly. I want Crossways to be able to continue to provide those formative faith experiences for generations to come.

I hope that you will join me in giving to the ministry of Crossways in a way that is significant to you. Not because it feels like one more obligation that you 'should do', but because I hope that in reflecting on your own time at Crossways camps you are able to see the life-giving fingerprints of the Divine strengthening you, sustaining you, and shaping you to be a source of God's love in this world. Let us continue to partner with a ministry that God has done great things through, and ensure that our communities and our neighbors are blessed through this ministry for years to come."

Because of you, Crossways Camps are more than cabins and trails. They are alive with God’s love, in the laughter of campers, the songs around a fire, and the details that make camp feel like home.

One of those details is grass. In 2020, a neighbor named Donnie offered to mow the lawn. What started as a favor became more than 2,300 volunteer hours of care. Donnie will tell you it isn’t really about the grass; it’s about creating a place where joy thrives.

This summer, after seeing our staff pour their energy into campers, Donnie shared with them:

“I’m humbled to cut grass so you can play ball with these kids.
You have a calling. Well done, good and faithful servants.”

Donnie’s gift of time reminds us that every act of care, from mowing grass to repairing docks, is ministry. But volunteers alone can’t sustain camp properties.

Your gift today provides the steady support needed for the roofs, docks, trails, and fields that make life-changing experiences possible for campers.

You may not be able to tend every blade of grass yourself, but your gift sustains these vibrant holy grounds where campers meet God.
