Exhausted doesn't cut it. Holy cats, I'm old.

The vetted cats have moved over to LCHS, and we have two more that got done today; they will go next week. We then had room to help them with the nursing moms, so they had room for ours. Due to all the events sorounding this situation, we're going to keep them off social media for now. Sorry, guys. You'll just to have to trust me when I say they're all adorable, but we have work to do.

Now, these three below are the special kids that I've been working on health-wise since Sunday. We're feeling better, but the tabby and black have a long way to go. I'm happy to see them thriving, and I pray they both make it. 🙏💕 ~Good night~

Our portion of the vetting so far was $1300 and you guys provided $1250.00 of that bill and we cannot be more grateful!! Thank you! ( I have not checked PayPal today so any from today is not included)

Animal rescue is hard these days, no doubt, but not everyone should rescue. It’s becoming more and more common to see rescues, or so-called rescues, get in way over their heads. More animals are being abandoned due to cost and life situations, and for some reason, hoarding is way up. Believe me, it’s hard to say no to these situations, but we are seeing more rescues do more harm than good by always saying yes, and it’s heartbreaking. We are supposed to be their protectors, their light at the end of the tunnel, the heroes without capes, their voice.

I usually try to keep things simple on my business page, but when you intake animals from one horrible situation and shove them into another horrible situation, you have done them absolutely no justice and it should not be hidden behind closed doors. Rescue is simply that. You rescue the animal, provide them with basic needs, immediate vet care if needed, and not just give random medications you have at home. You limit yourself to a safe number, provide safe, secure, clean housing, and provide appropriate vaccinations, deworming, food, and water ASAP. If you cannot do that, you have zero business taking them. You should never have to rescue from a rescue, period.

There are so many wonderful rescues and so many kind-hearted non-rescuers that are out daily helping animals, and it’s a beautiful thing. But if you see something, say something. These animals deserve that much.

When we say no to an intake or a situation it definitely hurts our heart, but a true rescuer will protect the ones they have at all cost. Every intake requires a plan, a protocol, a backup plan and another back up plan. 🐾💕
