Thank you, Haskell! 256 of you voted in our community playground poll, and the winner is clear:

🟢🟡🔵🔴 Option #3: Green, Yellow, Blue & Red with a green shade canopy took 55.5% of the vote!

It's bright and cheerful, with plenty of shade for those hot Texas days! ☀️🌳 We can't wait to see kids climbing, sliding and playing on the new equipment early next year!

📊 Final results:
Option #1 - Red, Navy & Blue (Gray shade): 23%
Option #2 - Blue, Red, & Tan (Tan shade): 21.5%
✅ Option #3 - Green, Yellow, Blue & Red (Green shade): 55.5%

Thanks to everyone who shared their voice. 💚 We've placed the order for the playground equipment, so stay tuned for more updates!

🌻 More progress at the pollinator garden! Keep Haskell Beautiful would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to Summit Supply True Value/NAPA, the Rotary Club of Haskell, and the City of Haskell, Texas - City Hall for their generous support of our project to install a sprinkler system for the new pollinator garden area near the LaBriere House in Haskell City Park! 💦🌿

Your support is helping us create a beautiful space that will provide habitat for pollinators while adding another special feature for our community to enjoy. We appreciate the partnerships that make projects like this possible!

🌱 🦋 Want to help grow the garden?
We are also accepting donations to help purchase Texas native perennials and milkweed! If you would like to purchase a native perennial for the Keep Haskell Beautiful pollinator garden, please let us know. Every plant helps!

🌿 A huge THANK YOU to all 21 volunteers who came out this morning for our Keep Haskell Beautiful Adopt-A-Highway cleanup! Together, we picked up 20 bags of trash along Hwy 277 and Hwy 380 in just two hours. 🙌

🇺🇸 Special thanks to Clark Construction and CTS Lonestar for partnering with Keep Haskell Beautiful to help make this cleanup a success! We appreciate their willingness to join our efforts in making our community a better place.

We’re also grateful to Haskell County Extension Agent Jaycee Ferguson for encouraging 4-H students to roll up their sleeves and lead through service in our community. 💪🌟

This is what community pride looks like—people coming together to take care of the place we call home. ❤️ Let’s continue to Keep Haskell Beautiful! 🌿

🌻🦋 Stage 1 of our Pollinator Garden is taking shape! 🦋🌻

We’re excited to share the start of a special project next to the LaBriere House, the first house built in Haskell, just south of the City RV Park.

Because this area has been challenging to maintain, we’re transforming it into something beautiful and beneficial for our community. Our goal is to create a pollinator garden and Monarch Butterfly Station that welcomes butterflies, bees, and other pollinators while adding beauty to this historic part of Haskell. 🌿🌼

A BIG thank-you to Missy Thompson and her Haskell CISD students, the City of Haskell, and our Public Works crew for helping bring this vision to life! We’re grateful to everyone who has contributed time and effort to this project.

This is only Stage 1, and we can’t wait to share the finished garden with you! 💚

Stay tuned: there’s more to come! 🦋🌻

🌿 Keep Haskell Beautiful - Adopt-A-Highway Cleanup
📆 Saturday, September 12, 2026
🕛 8:00 am - 10:00 am
📍 Meet at Kent Kwik

06/28/2026

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing Adopt-A-Highway volunteers who braved the hot temperatures and strong winds on Saturday morning (6/27) to help Keep Haskell Beautiful! 🌞🌬️

With the help of 8 dedicated volunteers, we collected 8 large bags of trash along our adopted stretch of Highway 277 and 380. Every bag of litter gathered makes a difference! Shoutout to Darlene Draper Hopkins for cleaning up part of downtown earlier in the morning.

A special thank you to Kent Kwik for generously donating water to help keep our volunteers hydrated throughout the cleanup.

We appreciate everyone, including Abilene Environmental Landfill/AEL Green Logistics and CTS Lonestar, who gave their time and energy to make our community a cleaner, more beautiful place. We truly appreciate your help! 💙♻️
