Have old documents or electronics taking up space? Join us and our community partners for Community Shred & Recycling Day! ♻️ Bring documents for secure disposal, electronics for recycling, and expired or unwanted prescription medications.

Shredding will not take place onsite. Documents will be transported to the Sheriff’s Office and shredded under surveillance.

Mayor Shirley Drewenski and the City of Harvey Police Department invite you to our Annual Trunk or Treat event!

Join us for an evening of fun, candy, and community spirit! We'll have a Best Decorated Trunk Contest and a Costume Contest for ages 1-6 and 7-12.

Contest Details:

All contests will start at 5:30 PM.

📢 HARVEY RESIDENTS | ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE MEETING

What does economic development mean for Harvey and the residents who call it home?

On Thursday, October 29, at 2:00 PM, the Economic Development Committee (EDC) will review six Cook County Class 8 property tax incentive applications, including five renewals and one new request.

These incentives can reduce property taxes for qualifying businesses, making it important that we understand the return on investment for our community.

💜 Questions worth asking:

* Are these businesses creating jobs for Harvey residents?
* What investments have been made in our community?
* Are businesses meeting their commitments?
* How do these incentives impact our tax base?

⏰ And why 2:00 PM? We must continue advocating for meeting times and access that allow working residents to participate in decisions affecting their community.
