Protect PT has found out that PA DEP has permitted a new type of conventional oil & gas well specifically to produce brine. This substance is highly contaminated and often spread on our public roads as a 'de-icer' or dust suppressant, despite being proven to be highly ineffective for either purpose. The new permit-- Conventional Oil & Gas Mineral Brine Well - Danylko 6 -- was issued to BCD Properties and is now being drilled in McKean Township, Erie County. Now, our partners at FracTracker Alliance are appealing this dangerous and unprecedented permit.
