🌟 What an incredible day at the 2026 Youth Leadership Summit! 🌟

Kevin and Alex had the honor of presenting two workshops to more than 60 student leaders representing six high schools across Clearfield County. 👏

Students explored the Sources of Strength program, learning about the *Big 3 Emotions* and how to use the *Strengths Wheel* to build resilience and strengthen connections. 💙💚💛

We also facilitated the *Our Turn to Talk* workshop, where students learned the importance of peer-to-peer support, how to recognize mental health stigma, and most importantly, how to challenge and crush that stigma. 💪 🧠

And of course... we made time for some fun and games too! 🎉

A huge THANK YOU to all the students and staff who participated today. You were amazing! 🤩

On Tuesday 9/29/26, Mental Health Planning Council held its second in person meeting since COVID-19. There were many familiar faces there who helped out. Mental Health Planning Council is a way to get involved whether or not you're a voting member. It allows you to take part in informing the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services about the needs of our communities. Individuals with lived experience, professionals, and youth and young adults came together throughout the day both in-person and online to support these efforts.

The Transition Age Youth and Young Adult Subcommittee honored two adult allies with their first ever Bridge Builder Award to incredible advocates who dedicate their work to supporting individuals with lived experiences. The two recipients of the Bridge Builder Awards were Tony House and Jessica Paul. The co-chairs, Collyn Milakovic (from Youth MOVE PA), and Lizzie Karns-Waters presented the award winners during lunch.

Dr. Val Arkoosh (Secretary of PA DHS) came to share some vital information about some of the changes that will be happening across the state. The Deputy Secretary of OMHSAS, Jen Smith, also spent the day with the councilors.

Thanks to everyone who came online and in person and was a part of this and who spent the day supporting the voice of lived experience throughout the state. We will keep you update about future meetings online and in person.
