COURTESY POST: Please use the contact info provided if you are able to help Toby find his forever home!

Toby, 12 y/o male Yorkie. Neutered, UTD on shots and preventatives. Good with dogs and kids, not sure about cats as hes never been around them. House-trained.
This good little fella has found himself looking for a new home after his mom was unfortunately moved into a nursing facility. No major medical issues to report, though it does seem he needs some help getting up steps (have had to carry him). He has no trouble going down steps. He came from a house where his mom was home all the time, so would be great to find a new home with that same setup for him.

For more information or if you are interested in giving him a home please message Candy directly

She may not look like she could possibly be feeling better, but sweet Sadie is showing us how resilient she really is- she has a good appetite, her tail wags more than ever, and she hasn't had any reaction at all to the surgery pain from her eye removal. I can't imagine how uncomfortable she must have been to feel such immediate relief. She takes her meds so gently and has no problems getting drops in her remaining eye. I am so grateful that we were able to get her in quickly!

Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to get her to us, and to all who have donated toward her care. We have a long road ahead but this was a big hurdle and we're all feeling better!

UPDATE: Sadie is having surgery tomorrow! Please send prayers and positivity our way!

A good news/bad news update on our newest angel Sadie-

The good: Sadie could not be any more sweet, gentle, and tolerant. She is still nervous but I am surprised at how much progress she's made in just a few days. She is very house trained and has already figured out the ramp/doorway situation despite being almost completely blind. She is being absolutely bombarded by cats rubbing on her and sniffing her but she has no reaction. She loves attention but is also happy to take a nap or explore the yard. Really she is just the easiest dog despite her limitations and her absolutely heartbreaking history.

The bad: Obviously we were planning to have Sadie's bad eye removed, but it seems the other one may eventually have to go as well. We are trying meds to see if we can save it since she does have a little vision currently. Our vet does not feel she would be a good candidate for cataract surgery, and after learning that Sadie is heartworm positive I am inclined to agree. The HW diagnoses was unexpected, and I am choosing to delay treatment in favor of removing that painful eyeball asap, but I am so sad and frustrated that we have another hurdle in her journey. She has been through so much and I just want her to be better NOW.

Please keep us in your thoughts as we work to give Sadie the happy and healthy life she deserves! I will post more updates as they come.

Friends! We are sad to share that Luna's adoption is not working out. She has done well with kids, cats, and all dogs but one. We are once again sharing to help her find a forever home!

COURTESY POST: Please email [email protected] if you are able to help Luna find her forever home!

Sadly, Luna’s owner recently passed away. Her owner's daughter is currently caring for her as she handles her mother’s arrangements in Johnstown. However, she lives in a New York City apartment with a strict one-pet policy where she already has a dog, making it impossible to keep Luna long-term. We are doing everything we can to ensure Luna lands in a safe, loving environment for her golden years.

A quick snapshot of Luna:

Age: 10 years old

Breed Mix: Spaniel / Chow Chow / Lab mix

Weight: ~75 lbs

Medical Status: Spayed, up to date on medical care as of September 2025. Full veterinary records are available upon request.

Temperament: Gentle, kind, and sweet. She gets along wonderfully with everyone she meets.

Good with: Dogs (currently lives with a small dog) and children.

Current Location: Johnstown, PA

Well this was not planned either...

World's friendliest kitten just chilled in the parking lot with her finder until I got there. She's a little thin but very clean, so I'm hoping someone just made a mistake and is now worried sick about her. If not... seriously, do not let me keep this kitten.

ONE more surprise, that's it!

Look at the "before" video in the comments and tell me you would have said no! I assumed this girl was down south, and I was headed down anyway so I figured I could grab her on my way home. Turns out she is in KOSOVO, and rescuers have been trying so hard to find a group here to take her. Welp... it's us! Sadie is 12 years old and mostly blind, so we are looking for a very special adopter to help keep her safe and comfortable. We will obviously have to work together for her care- I'm quite sure that eye needs to come out, and we'd like to have her spayed if possible. She is coming Saturday and I'd love to have someone lined up for her so she can settle right in. She sounds like an absolute doll, here are some notes from her foster in Kosovo:

🙂I would say house trained - she knows to go on the Balcony here - I have a towel down and she uses it.
🙂Loves and very happy to ride in the dog pushchair It’s her safe place.
🙂 I would say does not feel safe outside with other dogs particularly dogs barking at her. She wants to hide. She climbs into planters or under brambles.
She has been okay with Lucy (Pug) in the apartment, they do touch noses.
Worried of people or dogs will take her food.
🙂 She doesn’t bark and ignores all the dogs barking around here, and there is a lot of that.
Does not like storms/thunder ⛈️ and needs a safe space. She is okay in her safe place.
😢 Her sight is bad but having said that, she walks around the apartment without running into things. When she looks for me she can’t see for a few feet but seems to recognise me when she is close.
😳 She has a sensitive tummy. It’s hard, almost impossible to get her to eat kibble dog food.
I have been cooking for her. Rice, mince, chicken breast and frozen vegetables. I cook a big pot an freeze several containers for her. I soak kibble in Camomile tea till they are soft and out then I mix them in with the rice meal. She often pick the kibble out leaves them.
That’s my biggest concern in a shelter situation- she won’t eat the dry food or get diarrhoea. She needs a mum.😔

Please share to help Sadie find her forever home in America! Also please feel free to share with other rescues so they can help us network for her.
