Through our two lines of service – Home Health and Hospice – the VNA of Hanover & Spring Grove is able to provide a continuum of quality, compassionate care for our neighbors in southwestern York County and all of Adams County during their times of need. VNA Home Health is for individuals who need to recover and regain their strength after an illness, surgery, accident, or hospitalization. Our tea

m of nurses and physical, occupational and speech therapists, as well as social workers and home health aides help people get back to, or surpass, their previous level of functioning. VNA Hospice provides care and support for terminally ill individuals and their families or caregivers at the end of life. Our team of highly trained nurses, social workers, spiritual counselors, hospice aides, therapists, volunteers, physicians, and bereavement counselors provide services in both personal homes and extended care facilities. The VNA Hospice team provides sensitivity and compassion with expert knowledge and skill.

We said stay tuned for the vendor list…and now that we’re officially into September, the time has come! 🎉

Our VNA Vendor Fair is coming up on Saturday, September 26 from 8:00 AM–2:00 PM, and we figured it was time to get the lineup out there so everyone can start planning their shopping…and their eating!

We’re excited to welcome a great mix of vendors, makers, small businesses, and 5 food trucks for what is shaping up to be a fun day at the VNA!

Come out and support local vendors, enjoy some great food, and help support the VNA’s Funshine Committee, which gives back to our hardworking staff through employee engagement activities, food, and celebrations throughout the year.

What a great day at our VNA Employee Picnic!

Yesterday was all about celebrating the amazing staff, volunteers, and board members who support the VNA and the community we serve every day. It was a chance to step away from the work, enjoy some good food, laugh a little, and spend time together.

This year somehow turned into a bit of a farm theme. Huge thanks to Sheppard Farms for bringing Fleur, Juliet, and Wendy...the now-famous “fuzzy cows"...and to our own Stacy Ropp, Director of Clinical Services, for bringing her goats, Joseph and Ester.

Everything was going great…right up until Joseph decided the leftover pie was apparently included in his benefits package and jumped onto the table to finish it off. 😂

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day happen. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a caring, committed, and apparently very animal-friendly, VNA team!

Some accomplishments are worth celebrating—and this is a big one for our VNA family!

We are incredibly proud to share that VNA of Hanover & Spring Grove Hospice has once again been recognized nationally for the quality of care and experience we provide to patients, families and caregivers.

For 2025, Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) named our Hospice program a Superior Performer, placing us among the top 20% of more than 1,800 hospice providers evaluated nationwide for caregiver and family experience.

But there’s even more to celebrate...

⭐ Five consecutive years of SHPBest recognition
Our Hospice team has now earned an SHPBest award five years in a row, making VNA of Hanover & Spring Grove Hospice one of only six hospice providers in the nation highlighted by SHP for this level of consistent excellence.

⭐ Medicare 5-Star Hospice
We are also proud to remain the only hospice service in our region recognized by Medicare with its highest 5-star rating for quality hospice care.

And while awards, rankings and stars are certainly something to celebrate, what makes these recognitions especially meaningful is where they come from...the experiences of the patients, families and caregivers who place their trust in us every day.

For more than 115 years, since 1909, the VNA of Hanover & Spring Grove has had the privilege of serving our neighbors throughout Adams and York counties. Our Hospice program has been caring for local families since 1980, and these accomplishments are a reflection of the extraordinary nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, physicians and support staff who bring compassion, dignity and excellence into homes every single day.

This recognition reflects what our mission is all about: Delivering Exceptional Healthcare in the Home.

A big THANK YOU to 7 Brew Coffee for thinking of our VNA team and surprising us with 75 iced coffees to celebrate their Hanover 7 Brew location opening! 🎉

There were plenty of flavors to go around, and our crew was more than happy to help make them disappear.

We love seeing new businesses come into our community...especially ones that kick things off by showing a little love to their neighbors!

🎉 WOW — Hanover, you showed up! 🎉

We have been absolutely overwhelmed by the interest in our first-ever VNA Vendor Fair and are excited to announce that every vendor spot is officially BOOKED!

That includes a fantastic mix of local vendors plus FIVE food trucks ready to keep everyone well-fed while you shop! 🌮🍔🍟

Now we need a great crowd to come out on Saturday, September 26 from 8:00 AM–2:00 PM to support these local businesses and help make our first Vendor Fair a huge success.

And remember, proceeds from the event benefit the VNA’s Funshine Committee — our staff-led group dedicated to supporting and celebrating our hardworking VNA employees throughout the year. 💙

☀️ Calling All Vendors! ☀️

The VNA of Hanover & Spring Grove is excited to host our first-ever Vendor Fair on Saturday, September 26, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 440 Madison Street in Hanover!

We’re looking for local vendors of all kinds—food, crafts, boutiques, handmade products, permanent jewelry, artists, small businesses, nonprofits, service providers and more. Vendor spaces are already filling quickly, so reserve yours soon!

Proceeds from the event will benefit the VNA’s Funshine Committee, a group driven and organized by VNA employees to support their hardworking coworkers through engagement activities, food and special celebrations throughout the year. Staff looking after staff...what a great concept!

Today was another very special day at the VNA as we celebrated the distribution of the Florence deHaven Stick Memorial Nursing Scholarships.

Thanks to the incredibly generous support of Mike Stick, grandson of Florence deHaven Stick — the VNA’s first nurse — we were honored to award $50,000 in nursing scholarships to 10 deserving recipients who are pursuing or continuing their careers in nursing.

This scholarship is a meaningful way to honor Florence’s legacy of compassionate care while supporting the next generation of nurses who will carry that same spirit forward.
