Until you spend a week with our boys at Many Point Scout Camp, you have no idea how hard it is to only post "a few" photos from the week. So, we'll make a few posts over the next few days in memory of another fantastic week where the BEST in Scouting goes!

One of our Scouts, Brayden, asked us to post his write up on summer camp to our page. Here it is!

“Many Point is great because of the beach, mess hall, merit badges and staff. The beach is great and has many activities including the aqua tramp and volleyball/nuke’em. The mess hall provides food so we don’t have to make our own and it tastes great to many. Merit Badges make it so you can do things during the day. There are many merit badges including communications, swimming, chess and plumbing. The staff can teach us these and they know how to interact with us. They are super friendly and love fun. This is a great camp and fun camp and we hope to see you there next year.“

What a week! A crew from Troop 563 recently crushed a 4-day, 3-night backpacking adventure on the Superior Hiking Trail — and these boys turned it into an absolute epic adventure!

We kicked off at Cascade State Park and wrapped up at Temperance River, but the Scouts had other plans. They decided “why stop at the main route?” and tacked on extra spur trails plus the full Oberg Mountain loop. Final tally? 40 miles of rugged North Shore beauty — waterfalls, sweeping lake views, rocky ridges, and surprisingly very few mosquitos!

Eight unstoppable Scouts and three brave adults made it the whole way with zero blisters, zero injuries, and maximum memories. Along the trail they leveled up their camp cooking (those backpacking meals smelled suspiciously good), mastered Leave No Trace etiquette, perfected water filtration like pros, and turned tent setup into a daily competition. Foot care game was on point — the dogs were let out many times to breathe and soak in the views along the way!

From silly trail names and campfire stories to pushing through the big miles with big attitudes, these young men showed what Scout spirit is all about. Tough hikes, great laughs, and the kind of trip you talk about for years.
Huge thanks to the adults who made it happen and to the boys who showed up ready to do something hard and have a blast doing it. Can’t wait for the next adventure — the woods are calling!

Advancment Night might be one of our favorite Troop meetings that we do. Merit badge bluecards are getting signed off, first-aid is being taught by our ASPL, and Scoutmaster conferences & a Board of Review for Life Rank are taking place. What a great night as we look ahead to Many Point in just over a month!

This past weekend, 9 youth and 4 adults spent the weekend at Lake Rebecca in preparation for a 4-day trip next month to hike a portion of the Superior Hiking Trail. Covering 6.7 miles before lunch time, we eased up in the afternoon with an 'easy' 11 miles for the day. Trying out some freeze dried meals, fire building competitions and figuring how to get the best fit with our packs (even one that was 30+ years old) - it was a successful weekend! S*T, here we come!
