Edgar Ballew Jr. (April 24, 1928 - October 28, 2026)
With gratitude, we remember Edgar Ballew and the lasting legacy he leaves through Wallace State Community College.
In 2022, Edgar established the Edgar and Imalene Ballew Scholarship Endowment, creating a meaningful way to invest in future generations. Leaving a legacy was deeply important to Edgar, and he took a personal interest in the students he supported, attending events at Wallace State and encouraging them as they worked toward their educational and career goals.
The scholarship honors Edgar’s beloved wife, Imalene, his partner of 63 years, and reflects a commitment to helping others build a brighter future through education.
Through this endowment, Edgar and Imalene’s legacy will continue by supporting Wallace State students pursuing careers in Mechatronics, Heating and Air Conditioning, Welding, and Construction Technology.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Ballew family and are honored to help carry forward a legacy rooted in faith, generosity, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
