Women Inspiring Philanthropy initiative, or WIPi, is a mission-focused, nine-month learning experience designed to help participants become more informed, thoughtful and engaged philanthropists. Throughout the program, class members explore the community, learn what it means to serve effectively on a nonprofit board and work together to award a grant supporting women and girls.

WIPi is looking for curious, open-minded women who are interested in:
-Exploring issues affecting women and girls in our community
-Learning about local nonprofits through guest speakers, field trips and community experiences
-Building leadership skills and gaining experience in grantmaking and group decision-making
-Deepening their understanding of gender equity, racial equity and the intersection of race and gender
-Creating a personal giving plan and building lasting relationships

Last week, our third Women Inspiring Philanthropy initiative (WIPi) class celebrated the completion of its ten-month journey alongside classmates, program alumni, and members of the Women’s Fund Committee!

Throughout the program, this strong group of women leaders visited local nonprofits and learned more about the organizations supporting women and girls across our community. Their experience concluded with the opportunity to award a grant to a local organization advancing this important work. This year’s class selected Women Helping Women as its grant recipient. Thank you to the Women Helping Women team for joining us at the graduation celebration and sharing more about your mission and impact.
