We’re proud to recognize the Cowichan Valley Hoo Hoo Club # 229 as a Ripples of Change Anniversary Partner, celebrating 30 years of support for VIU students.

Through the Hoo Hoo Club Award, two students in the Forestry Resources program receive support each year, helping them focus on their studies and build careers in a vital sector.

Thank you for three decades of generosity and for continuing to invest in the next generation.

Every gift creates a ripple of impact.

🐈‍⬛ Here Kitty Kitty 🐈‍⬛

2 months, 5 clubs, 3 concats, and 14 new members later - the Kitten Kits are heading home!

New members are referred to as "kittens" and after they are concatenated (yes, that's a real word and even a formula for spreadsheets!) and the applications and dues are received at the international office, the Executive Secretary writes their name(s) in the official Concat book, assigns their forever member number, prints certificates, welcome letters, etc, and packs it all up with their official black cat lapel pin engraved on the back. It's very special and exciting!

Greetings from ❄️icy/snowy/sleety❄️ Gurdon, Arkansas! The museum will remain closed this week until roads are safe to travel.

-->The West Coast Trifecta was a big success and we will have reports for you in the Winter issue of the Log & Tally.

Next up in Hoo-Hoo world are...
-->Sacramento Club 109 Valentine Dinner & Dance on Valentine's day
-->And the Mid-year Board Meetings that will be held in Gurdon at the end of February. International officers from around the world will journey to the home of Hoo-Hoo to not just take care of business, but enjoy time together (& maybe a few shenanigans).

Stay warm and safe out there! (Sure wish our Jurisdiction 4 members could share some of their Summertime warmth right now 😄)

Happy 134th Birthday Hoo-Hoo 🥳

On January 21, 1892 in Gurdon, Arkansas, the Concatenated Order of Hoo-Hoo was dreamed up by six men waiting on a delayed train. It soon came to fruition and we became international in the 1920's!

Still going strong, we keep the traditions of holding an annual convention every September, we honor the importance of the number 9 every opportunity we get, and our clubs are comprised of quality men and women who care about their communities and advocate for the Forest products industry.

Visit our website to learn more!

The International Concatenated Order of Hoo-Hoo is one of the world's oldest service organizations, having been organized in 1892. That it has survived all these years is due to the fact that its members are interested in the welfare and promotion of the forest products industry.
