In Memory of Dallas R. Kitchen
It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of our dear friend and esteemed member, Dallas R. Kitchen.
Dallas was a founding figure of the Grosse Pointe Lions Club, a multiple-time president, and a man whose influence extended far beyond our local community. His legacy is woven into the very fabric of our club.
He was instrumental in building the club into what it is today, inspiring countless members with his leadership and dedication. Dallas is also the namesake of our annual “Kitchen Cup” Golf Outing, a cherished tradition that honors his lasting impact.
A true pillar of our community, Dallas was not only a devoted family man but also a loyal and caring friend to many. While we deeply mourn his loss, we are grateful to carry forward his spirit of service and compassion through Lionism.
For those who may not be familiar with his remarkable contributions, we invite you to visit our website and explore the section dedicated to Dallas and his legacy: Lions Club Legacy of Dallas Kitchen. It’s a wonderful tribute to the profound mark he left on us all. https://lionsclubsite.wixsite.com/gplions/about-us
With over 30 years of dedicated service, Dallas gave generously of his time, wisdom, and philanthropy. He embodied the true spirit of service—humble, steadfast, and ever-committed to helping those in need. Dallas was also a proud recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award, the most prestigious honor within Lionism. https://www.lionsclubs.org/en/give-how-to-give/melvin-jones-fellowship
With over three decades of generosity and friendship to all members, past and present, we salute you, Dallas. You will be deeply missed—but we will carry your torch with pride and gratitude.
Rest in peace, our friend and leader, Dallas R. Kitchen.
