💜 MYTH VS. FACT: Teaching boundaries helps children understand respect.

MYTH: Teaching children to say no encourages disrespect.

FACT: Children can learn to be respectful while also understanding that their bodies, feelings, and personal boundaries matter.

Teaching boundaries helps children recognize uncomfortable situations, respect the boundaries of others, and seek help from trusted adults when needed.

These conversations don’t need to be frightening. They can be simple, age-appropriate, and part of everyday life.

💜 Prevention isn’t just about responding when something goes wrong. It’s about building safer environments from the start.

When children learn about boundaries, women have access to support, and communities know how to respond to concerns, we create more opportunities for people to feel safe and seek help.

💜 Every child deserves to know that their voice matters.

Children are more likely to seek help when they know the adults around them will listen, take their concerns seriously, and respond with care.

We can build that trust through everyday conversations, by respecting boundaries, and by reminding children that they never have to keep an uncomfortable situation a secret from a trusted adult.

Protecting children begins with creating an environment where they feel safe enough to speak.
