Dear GPFID Friends,

We are reaching out to share the story of a cherished local family currently facing an unexpected and serious medical emergency. During this challenging time, they have shown incredible strength and resilience, but the road ahead is long, and with it come financial challenges.

In moments like these, the power of community support becomes more important and meaningful than ever. To help ease their journey and allow them to focus on what truly matters - health and recovery - a GoFundMe campaign has been initiated.

Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant difference in their lives, offering them not just financial relief but also a reminder of the love and support that surrounds them. Your generosity can help provide peace of mind during this turbulent period.

Please consider donating and sharing this link with others. Together, we can make a real impact and extend a helping hand to our neighbors and friends.

Thank you for your kindness, support, and generosity.

With heartfelt gratitude,

GPFID

Is it true that one of the current candidates for the GP School Board has bragged about being present at the January 6th insurrection in Washington DC and how they “kept the police at bay”?

Information that’s good to know when deciding what kind of organizations our community wants to support: The Boy Scouts last month reached a tentative settlement with a bankruptcy committee representing more than 80,000 men who say they were molested as children by Scout leaders and others. All told, the compensation fund would total more than $2.6 billion, which would be the largest aggregate s*x abuse settlement in U.S. history.

Now comes the “well regulated” part of the 2nd Amendment. Well done, San Jose!

The San Jose city council voted Tuesday to pass a first-of-its-kind gun harm ordinance that will require gun owners to purchase liability insurance and pay an annual fee on their weapons. Ian Cull reports.

What are people in flood-prone GP areas hearing about home buyers backing away from living in a sewerage retention basin? Can’t imagine it helping the real estate market.

PREPARE FOR RAIN!!!

REMINDER: Michigan law requires that anyone who thinks they have experienced damage from a sewer-backup event to give notice of the claim to the city within 45 days of becoming aware of the damages. GP residents have until AUGUST 10th to file a notice of claim to the city they live in. You should also put GLWA on notice that you have experienced damages as well.

FYI- For anyone who filed a FEMA claim.

ALL NRA SUCKERS SHOULD PAY DUES NOW TO HELP PAY LaPierre’s LAWYERS.

“The Court finds, based on the totality of the circumstances, that the NRA’s bankruptcy petition was not filed in good faith but instead was filed as an effort to gain an unfair litigation advantage in the NYAG Enforcement Action and as an effort to avoid a regulatory scheme,” Judge Harlin Hale wrote in a 37-page decision.

The decision in a federal court hearing to consider the group’s petition revealed details about mismanagement and excessive spending inside the influential gun lobby.

One gives freely, yet grows all the richer;
another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want.

Whoever brings blessing will be enriched,
and one who waters will himself be watered. Proverbs 11:24-25

It’s time to say thank you to Park Grill, GP. Go and water the fields of the giver.
