IN HOUSE BILL 1152 - IMPACT ON COMMUNITY ASSOCIATIONS

HB1152 is pending legislation that could significantly impact Indiana homeowners and their community associations.

Concerns:
- Limit an association's ability to effectively govern and enforce governing documents
- increase operational and administrative burdens on volunteer boards and managing agents
- Create uncertainty and increased costs for associations and their members
- Undermine long-standing legal frameworks that protect both associations and homeowners
- Expose associations to heightened litigation risk while reducing tools for compliance

These changes affect boards, managers and homeowners who rely on association to maintain property values, financial stability and neighborhood standards.

You may contact your state legislators to voice your opinion of this bill. It has already passed out of the House and was heard in the Senate Judiciary Committee on Feb 4.

County Line and Madison

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE:

The City of Indianapolis will begin work on the County Line Road and Madison Avenue intersection on or after Monday, August 18th. This project is expected to be completed in October of 2025. While this project is underway, please be mindful of lane shifts, construction signage and construction workers.
