Being a bystander doesn’t always mean stepping into the middle of a situation. Sometimes, it means knowing how to help safely.

For Bystander Awareness Month, we’re breaking down the 5 Ds: Direct, Distract, Delegate, Delay, and Document. These are simple ways to respond when you witness HIV stigma, discrimination, or harmful behavior.

You don’t have to have all the answers. A small action, a supportive word, or checking in afterward can make a difference.
