The need is real. 53 applications. 14 projects. And each one represents a homeowner who needs a little help to make their home safer, more accessible, or easier to maintain.
Good Neighbor Week volunteers will be tackling projects ranging from safety and accessibility improvements to painting and repairs.
And there’s a time frame to fit your schedule! Choose from different volunteer opportunities and time commitments throughout Good Neighbor Week.

💙 Good Neighbor Week Allouez | Finishing What We Started
Our Good Neighbor Week team returned to the same Allouez property to finish the work — and what a job it was!
Volunteers worked hard to expand the French drain, adding plastic lining and stone to improve water drainage from the backyard all the way to the street — 100 feet of drainage work! 💪🪨
A huge thank-you to the family who welcomed us, the volunteers who put in the hard work, and the Village staff who came out once again to help make sure this homeowner’s project was completed.
But perhaps the most inspiring part of the day was watching the family’s oldest son, who has shown up to help at every project this week. His mom shared how important it is to both of them to help others whenever they can. ❤️
That's what Good Neighbor Week is all about: neighbors helping neighbors, families paying it forward, and communities coming together to make a difference.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, pitched in, and helped get this job across the finish line! 👏

Day 3 @ Good Neighbor Week 2026 in Village of Allouez
💙 Good Neighbor Week Allouez | Neighbors Helping Neighbors
Yesterday’s project was a beautiful reminder that kindness has a way of coming full circle. ❤️
The family our team was helping had already paid it forward by volunteering at both Monday and Tuesday’s Good Neighbor Week projects! All three kids and their parents were found working hard alongside our volunteers, setting an incredible example of what it means to be a good neighbor. 👏
Their oldest son especially stood out for his hard work, so the Good Neighbor Week team awarded him his very own rake and shovel — with his name on them! 🛠️ A little recognition for a BIG example of being a good neighbor.
The family was incredibly grateful to have been chosen for this project, and our volunteers were grateful for the opportunity to serve them.
And we may have bitten off a little more than we could chew! 😅 Digging trenches for drainage pipes was on the docket, making this a labor-intensive project. But everyone worked hard and accomplished as much as we could for this deserving family. 💪
We also want to recognize one very special volunteer who joins us year after year. Not only did she show up to serve in Allouez, she's already signed up for Good Neighbor Week Green Bay, September 21–25! That's the kind of commitment to community we love to see. 💙

Today was a powerful reminder that being a good neighbor isn't always about where you live — it's about recognizing when someone needs a little extra support.
One of today's volunteers was actually the person who nominated this family for Good Neighbor Week. He shared:
“This is my family. They may not be my direct community, but this couple has so much to give when there’s not a whole lot left to give. These are great people, and great people deserve to be helped when they need it the most.”
Today’s project was labor intensive, and we were short on volunteers. But the neighbors who showed up gave it their all. 💪 They worked hard, supported one another, and made meaningful progress for a deserving Allouez family.
And the best part? They'll be back tomorrow. Because that's what good neighbors do — they show up, they pitch in, and they keep going. ❤️
Thank you to every volunteer who gave their time and energy today. You are helping make Allouez a stronger, more connected community — one neighbor at a time.
