Altrusa House is a 12-bedroom non-profit hospitality house. For a one-time $10 registration fee we provide convenient, compassionate, homelike lodging for families and patients who travel to Green Bay due to a medical emergency, surgery, or outpatient treatment at one of these local hospitals.

Our facility offers a safe, peaceful “home away from home” where guests can cook meals, launder clothes, watch television, access WiFi, chat with staff and other guests, or just enjoy a bit of peace and quiet in the privacy of their own room. Guests make arrangements to stay through the contact person/case manager at the hospital/facility where they are staying. Hospital personnel or guests are able to call the Altrusa House to check availability. Guests bring the Altrusa House Referral Form (signed at the hospital) to the house.

Every foursome that plays the Altrusa Cup turns into something concrete: nights of lodging for a family whose person is in the hospital.

That's the whole math of this event. A team signs up, spends a good day on the course, and a family gets to stay nearby instead of driving home alone at the end of a long day.

With the start of a new school year, the 3rd & 4th grade students from Aldo Leopold Community School began a new learning unit: The Best Team Ever. Their goal is to explore what it means to be an effective team member from community organizations.

This morning, we welcomed them to Altrusa Hospitality House to learn about our mission and to see how ALDO’s expectations — Act Responsibly, Live Respectfully, Do Your Best, and Operate Safely — guide the work of our AHH team each day.

We’re grateful for their curiosity and their commitment to growing as thoughtful teammates in their school and community. Wishing them a bright and confident start to the new school year!

The Altrusa Cup Golden Ticket is here, and this year the prize is a Kohler Wisconsin experience!

The winner gets two nights in a deluxe guestroom at The American Club, plus $500 to spend on golf, the spa, or shopping. There are no blackout dates, so you can use it whenever it suits you.

Tickets are $50 for one, or three for $100. You do not need to golf to enter, and every ticket supports families staying at Altrusa Hospitality House while someone they love is in the hospital.
