Meet Sue Hill, Games Management Specialist for Special Olympics Montana and a member of Team Montana's USA Games support staff! From Great Falls and serving in a delegation support role focused on medical paperwork and athlete support, Sue brings nearly three decades of Special Olympics experience to the 2026 USA Games. ππ
β¨ Special Olympics has been a part of Sueβs life for nearly 30 years. Her journey began through her daughter, Jennifer, who is a Special Olympics athlete. Over the years, Sue has served as a coach, Local Program Coordinator, volunteer, official, and now a member of the SOMT staff team. She says Special Olympics opened her eyes to a community of people who are inspiring, strong, and fun. The impact was so profound that it even influenced her career path, leading her from interpreting in mainstream settings to working directly with students in Special Education. Through Special Olympics, Sue learned the importance of communication, inclusion, advocacy, and finding value in every individualβs unique abilities. β€οΈπ€
π What excites Sue most about the 2026 USA Games is the opportunity to support Team Montana athletes as they pursue their dreams on the national stage. With previous USA Games experience as a gymnastics coach in 2006 and a bocce official in both 2018 and 2022, she understands how meaningful these opportunities can be for athletes and families. Sue looks forward to helping ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes while cheering on Team Montana every step of the way. Sheβs getting ready to provide the support athletes and coaches need for a successful Games experience. ππ
