Eureka Schools Foundation (ESF) is a nonprofit organization supporting all students and schools within EUSD.

Founded over 25 years ago by parents, community members and local businesses, ESF provides enrichment funding to the Eureka Union School District The reality of public school funding in California is that property taxes are just not enough. The best public schools and school districts are truly a public/private partnership. With significantly less money available from state sources, local school b

oards are continually forced to cut or reduce programs considered “non-essential” by the state government, but highly valued by students and parents, such as technology, music, art, library support and athletics. Your tax-deductible donations will help keep these established programs and curriculum in place for every student.

We get this question a lot: What’s the difference between ESF and our school PTCs?

The short answer: Both are important, but they support students in different ways.

ESF funds district-wide enrichment like STEAM, music, libraries, athletics and more, while PTCs support experiences on your child’s campus from field trips to assemblies.

Scroll to learn more. There are many ways to support your student, and every one makes a difference. We know it may seem like there are a lot of different “asks,” but together, ESF, PTCs and classroom support help create the well-rounded school experience our students deserve.
