Dear Eureka Union School District families,
As the school year comes to a close, it is incredible to look back at everything this community has accomplished together.
The sheer heart, dedication, and grit of the ESF community showed up in so many ways! We have so much to celebrate, and it is all thanks to:
👪 Our Families for donating, volunteering, attending events, and sharing our passion for a well-rounded education.
🦸Our Event Chairs for bringing us together and driving incredible fundraising milestones. Without you, there is no ESF.
🧑🤝🧑 Our Board & Volunteers for bringing to life a re-envisioned World Arts Fair, upgrading to a new integrated donor and marketing system, updating our Strategic Plan, and launching our new Realtor Partner Program.
❗The Financial Reality: This year presented some funding challenges. While we set an ambitious goal of $500K, we ultimately raised $364K, and with endowment interest we are able to gift a total of $400k to the district to spend next year. This is below last year’s total of $415K. Although new events and partner programs provided additional financial support, they were not enough to offset the decline in Annual Giving Campaign participation. Imagine what we could give if more families donated!

💔 Fond Farewells & Open Doors: We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to two departing board members: Cory Salzillo (9 years of dedication and balance) and our Treasurer, Yana Smolin (4 years of sharp financial stewardship). Your legacy will be felt for years to come. You will be greatly missed!

Supporting the entire school community: A thriving district relies on a complete network of support. Please continue to support all areas: our district-wide enrichment fundraising foundation (ESF), your school site's Parent Teacher Club (PTC), and individual classrooms.
Our EUSD educators and leaders are true magicians: They do so much with so little to ensure a world-class experience. As you head into summer, we ask you to imagine what these classroom magicians could do if even more families join us in donating next fall. Every dollar donated to ESF is a dollar that can go towards something else the district needs.
