Saturday, March 21st in Orval Day at The Monk's Cellar Brewery & Public House. Andy has stocked the cellar with this wonderfully complex Trappist Ale. So drop by, order a bottle and keep the glass too!

Monk's will also be serving up Orvalette, the signature dish at the Orval Monastery cafe in Belgium.

I'm happy to report that another Queen of Beer Homebrew Competition has been successfully completed with 64 entries judged.

My sincerest gratitude and thanks to all those who helped plan, organize, judge, steward and staff the event. Because of you it was a huge success!

Thanks to all of our sponsors, most notably Crooked Lane Brewing Company for hosting our competition and to Great Fermentations for sponsoring our medals and 1st place winners.

Lastly, a huge congratulations to all of the winners with a special shout-out to our own Carol Hermsen who placed 2nd in the Lager category for her Marzen.
