# 🚒 PIPELINE EMERGENCY RESPONSE TRAINING 🚒

# # # OCTOBER 8 • POPLAR BLUFF, MISSOURI

**Six of our volunteers** took time out of their day to attend Pipeline Emergency Response Training.

The training covered how to safely respond to emergencies involving **pipelines, gas lines, and other lines carrying liquids or gases**, including incidents caused by digging or accidental line strikes.

When an emergency happens, you want your local fire department there. But **are you covered?**

# # # 🏠 FIRE DUES — ONLY $45 A YEAR!

For a **residential property**, annual fire dues are only **$45**.

🏢 **Commercial property — $75 per year**

Your fire dues provide **365 days of coverage** beginning on the date your payment is received.

⚠️ **IMPORTANT:** Fire dues must be **PAID BEFORE AN INCIDENT OCCURS** to receive coverage.

If you have paid your fire dues and your property is **within the Grandin Rural Fire Department fire district boundaries**, we will **not bill you for our fire response to a fire on your property.**

If your fire dues have not been paid before an incident, the property owner may be billed:

💵 **$500 per hour on scene**
💵 **$100 response fee**

Our fire district boundaries include:

➡️ **E Highway on Highway 21 south to the Ripley County line**

➡️ **K&B Highway to the Ripley County line**

➡️ **From the south side of B Highway to Carter 269, then to the Butler/Ripley County line down 269**

If you're unsure whether your property is within our fire district, **please contact us and we will be happy to help determine if your property is covered Or contact the carter county assessors office.**

🎃👻 HALLOWEEN HAYRIDE & TRICK-OR-TREATING IN GRANDIN! 👻🎃

🚒 Hosted by the Grandin Rural Volunteer Fire Department 🚒

Load up the kids and join us for a Halloween Hayride through Grandin! We’ll be taking the kids around town so they can enjoy an evening of TRICK-OR-TREATING! 🍬🍫🍭

🚒 PUMPER OPERATIONS TRAINING 🚒
Friday evening and Saturday, firefighters from Grandin Rural Fire Department and other local and not-so-local departments came together in Doniphan for a Pumper Operations Training Course provided by the Missouri Fire Marshal’s Office and the University of Missouri (MU).
A special THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this training possible:
👨‍🚒 Thank you, Mark Arnold, for being our instructor and sharing your knowledge and experience with our firefighters.
🏫 Thank you, Doniphan Fire Department, for allowing us to use your station classroom Friday evening.
🏫 Thank you, Doniphan High School, for allowing us to use the parking lot and cafeteria.
🍔 Highway K Volunteer Fire Department provided lunch with the help of generous donations from Doniphan Sonic, Pepsi MidAmerica, and Casey’s. We greatly appreciate your support!
Today’s training class marks the 3rd training class MU has provided in the county this year. We will continue working to bring more high-quality training opportunities close to home throughout the remainder of this year and into next year.
These training opportunities allow our volunteer firefighters to learn new skills, strengthen existing skills, and stay prepared to better serve the communities we protect.
We appreciate everyone who took the time to attend, teach, provide facilities, donate, and support our volunteer firefighters. Training together makes all of us stronger! 🚒🔥
