❤️ Thank You, Carter and Butler Counties and Beyond ❤️
We are overwhelmed with gratitude this morning...and still giggling at the "last 2 minutes" photo of bidders watching over their items. Look at the wall of Carter's! 🩷
What started as an idea to honor Hunter and Serenity Warren, less than a week ago, turned into something so much bigger because of the incredible community in Southeast Missouri.
Local businesses and individuals from Van Buren to Poplar Bluff, from Doniphan to Ellsinore...thank you for your generosity! You made our silent auction a success and underscored the heart behind small businesses.
The Pie in the Face fundraiser contestants...thank you for embracing the fun while supporting an important cause. You took on poking fun at yourselves and what makes us all human--our ability to agree and disagree. You reminded us that in the midst of tragedy, our community will come together to bring hope to one another, no matter how we vote.
Because of you, we raised over $7,000, and are one step closer to providing Hunter and Serenity with the lasting memorials they deserve. We will be adding these funds in with those raised with the ballpark board's Pie & Cake (and now, quilt!) auction.
We also want to give a special thank you to Cassie Treppish for getting the word out on the auction, organizing donations, and missing the parade while we tried to dry tables and set-up items under cover. You have a servant's heart...and a serious lack of day-of selfies! 😘 If anyone has a photo of her in her purple shirt, send it my way.
Thank you all for loving Hunter and her family. They asked me to send their appreciation to you all during their time of mourning, and as they take some time to themselves. Thank you for believing in this mission. Thank you for making a difference. ❤️🇺🇸
