Today, we honor and celebrate freedom, resilience, and the strength of Black communities.
As we reflect on the progress that has been made and the work still ahead, we recognize that many Black communities continue to face barriers to healthcare, including limited access to providers and longstanding gaps in trust and access. Across the country, mobile clinics are helping close those gaps by bringing care directly into communities and meeting people where they are.
Today, we're spotlighting a few mobile clinics that are helping improve health in Black communities:
❤️ The BLACK Wellness and Prosperity Center in California supports Black mothers and families by providing maternal health services, education, and support, while also training doulas to serve their communities.
❤️ Skillz on Wheelz in Oklahoma brings mental health services directly to Black and Brown communities through innovative, community-driven programs.
❤️ Black Heart Association in Texas (and across the nation) uses mobile clinics to provide free heart health, diabetes, and mental health screenings, helping identify serious health conditions before they become emergencies.
On Juneteenth, we celebrate the power of community and the progress being made toward a healthier future. Every day, mobile clinics across the country are helping build that future by expanding access to care, strengthening trust, and supporting healthier communities.
