🎉 Get Ready to Declutter and Deal! 🛍️

Rain or Shine!

The Community Garage Sale is rolling in the weekend of September 13th, and it's your chance to turn your “why do I still own this?” pile into someone else's treasure! Whether you're selling vintage lava lamps, slightly confused garden gnomes, or that treadmill that’s been a clothes rack since 2020—this is your moment.

📝 Step 1: Get Legit. Snag your garage sale permit right here so your sidewalk sale doesn’t turn into a sidewalk fail. https://www.gptx.org/Departments/Code-Compliance/Garage-Sale-Permits

📣 Step 2: Get Famous. Let the social committee know you're in so they can add you to the flyer. Because what’s a garage sale without a little neighborhood fame?

🧹 Bonus Round: Shred It Like You Mean It On September 13th from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., bring those ancient tax returns, mystery receipts, and love letters from your high school crush to the clubhouse for a good ol’ fashioned document shredding party. It’s oddly satisfying and totally secure.

So mark your calendars, prep your price tags, and let’s make some space—and maybe a little cash—while we’re at it. 💸🧺.

Re: Notice of Meeting on PID Budgets and Service Plans

Dear PID Member:

Each year, the Grand Prairie City Council approves the PID Budgets and Service Plans for each of the City’s 19 Public Improvement Districts (PIDs). There are multiple venues for interested parties to provide input on PID Budgets and Service Plans to include contacting the PID Board directly and by submitting feedback in the PIDs section of the City’s website at gptx.org/pid. In addition, citizens may provide input to their boards in August—the PID board meeting schedule is posted here: gptx.org/pid/schedule.

This year, the Grand Prairie Finance and Government Committee (F&G) will meet on September 2, 2025, 2:30 p.m. – 4 p.m. at City Hall, 300 W. Main St., for the purpose of providing interested parties an opportunity to provide input and comment on PID budgets and service plans. The meeting will be posted in accordance with the requirements of the Texas Public Information Act, as always. This notice is being sent as a courtesy in addition to any required notice to make you aware of this opportunity.

The meeting on September 2, 2025, is solely to gather input from interested parties on the PID budgets. No action will be taken by the Finance and Government Committee. We appreciate the public’s input, and we look forward to hearing your comments.
