💜 RAISE YOUR VOICE! ¡ALZA TU VOZ! 💜
Planting Seeds of Hope, Awareness, and Change in Our Community!

On behalf of Hispanic Heritage Ambassadors DFW, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helped us plant the seeds of awareness, compassion, and empowerment through our Raise Your Voice Domestic Violence Conference.

Today, October 13, holds a very special meaning for me. On this day in 2020, the City of Grand Prairie, under Mayor Ron Jensen, officially proclaimed October 13 as Mary Dominguez-Santini Day, recognizing my years of community service, leadership, cultural advocacy, and commitment to helping families in need.

Six years later, what better way to honor this special recognition than by continuing to serve our community and raising our voices for those who need to be heard!

This proclamation was never just about one person. To me, it represents the power of service, unity, compassion, and the responsibility to continue making a difference.

A special thank you to our community partners, Grand Prairie Police Department, speakers, panelists, volunteers, and supporters who helped make this important initiative possible.

🌱 We have planted the seed. Now we need our community to help it grow!

We invite businesses, community leaders, organizations, and residents to get involved, support survivors, share resources, and help break the silence surrounding domestic violence.

💜 LISTEN. SPEAK UP. OFFER HELP. SUPPORT SURVIVORS.

A proclamation is an honor, but making a difference in someone's life is the greatest reward.

Together, we can turn awareness into action and create a safer, stronger, and more compassionate community.

Be the Voice. Be the Hope. Be the Change!

With gratitude,

Mary Dominguez-Santini

Raise Your Voice! Alza La Voz!

This event is for everyone not just survivors of Domestic Violence!

Domestic violence affects thousands of Texas families every year, crossing every community, culture, age, and economic background. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, more than 250,000 family-violence offenses were reported statewide in 2024.

Even more alarming, the Texas Council on Family Violence reports that 161 Texans were killed by an intimate partner in 2024, and 71% of those homicides involved a fi***rm. The organization also found that 75% of victims killed had sought help to end or escape the abuse.
These numbers remind us why “Raise Your Voice! Alza La Voz!” is so important. This conference is about more than awareness—it is about prevention, education, resources, safety, and empowering survivors to know they are not alone.

By bringing together law enforcement, advocates, community organizations, professionals, and survivors, we can help break the cycle of violence.

Listen. Speak Up. Offer Help. Support Victims.

Together, we can raise our voices and help create safer families and stronger communities.
