As we wrap up another amazing season at Emmons Island Haunted Trail, we want to take a moment to give a huge thank you to C & M Concessions for once again serving up some incredible food!

Over the last several years, C & M Concessions has been our primary food vendor, and they have never disappointed. They show up, get set up quickly, and serve great food with a smile. One thing we especially love is that local residents can stop by and enjoy takeout from the food truck, even if they aren't walking the haunted trail. It has become a great way for the community to be part of the event.

A special thank you goes out to Mark and his crew for their professionalism, friendly service, and ability to keep things moving, even during our busiest nights. Beyond feeding our guests, they've also played a huge role in helping us take care of our volunteers and actors.

Over the years, we've tried many different ways to feed our staff. When Mark and C&M Concessions became our food truck partner, they helped solve that challenge. Instead of spending hours on food preparation, our volunteers can simply grab a meal when they need one. Scaring people on the trail works up quite an appetite! If someone gets hungry, they can step off the trail, grab a great meal from the food truck, and be back in action within minutes.

C&M Concessions is based in Rouses Point, NY, but they regularly travel to events throughout the region. If you're looking for outstanding food, dependable service, and a team that's easy to work with, we highly recommend giving them a call.

If you've ever come through the Haunted Trail, then you know that when you reach the end, you're greeted with a warm welcome and a little candy. My wife, Joanna, and her group have always been there to welcome guests off the trail and make sure everyone leaves with a smile.

This amazing team does a fantastic job and plays an important role in the experience. They're the last people you see before heading home, and they always leave a lasting impression.

🎃 The Numbers Behind the Scares Matter Most 🎃
When most people think about the Emmons Island Haunted Trail, they think about jump scares, creepy characters, and a fun fall tradition. But behind every scream is a mission that is far more important: helping local families facing food insecurity.

This year's food drive brought our total collection since 2010 to an incredible 27,451 pounds of food and $12,150 in donations.

To put that into perspective, the average person consumes roughly 4 to 5 pounds of food per day when all food and beverages are considered. Using a conservative estimate of 4.5 pounds per day, our food drive donations represent enough food for approximately 6,100 days of meals for one person.

That's more than 16 years of food for a single individual.

Unfortunately, food insecurity is a reality for many families in our community. It can affect working families, seniors on fixed incomes, individuals facing medical challenges, and children who may not know where their next meal is coming from. Food shelves and community food programs help bridge that gap, but they rely heavily on donations from people like you.

Every can, every box of food, every dollar donated, and every volunteer hour makes a difference.

Looking at these numbers, we're not just seeing pounds of food. We're seeing meals served, families supported, and a community coming together to help its neighbors.

From everyone at the Emmons Island Haunted Trail, thank you to everyone who has donated, volunteered, attended the event, or helped spread the word over the years. Together, we've turned a spooky October tradition into something that makes a real difference in people's lives.
