Today, we welcomed Vanessa Tanenbaum and Jessica Quinn from the Jeffrey Modell Foundation, a global nonprofit organization dedicated to early diagnosis, meaningful treatment, and ultimately cures for patients with Primary Immunodeficiency.

They met with us to learn more about Primary Immunodeficiencies in the Plain communities and explore opportunities for collaboration to promote early diagnosis, ongoing research to improve long term health outcomes, and opportunities for better and faster therapies in the future. 🧬

Advancing care before birth. 💙

This weekend, our Research Director, Karlla Brigatti, and Dr. Julie Moldenhauer, Executive Director of the Nemours Institute for Maternal Fetal Health, presented at the Philadelphia Prenatal Diagnosis Conference, highlighting how genetic diagnosis in the Plain Community can inform prenatal care and fetal therapies that may improve outcomes for children after birth.

Their presentation also showcased our growing collaboration with Nemours' Institute for Maternal Fetal Health and our shared commitment to improving lives through earlier diagnosis and treatment.

Please join us in welcoming Nicholas to our Research team this summer! ☀ Nicholas recently graduated from The George Washington University with a degree in Chemistry ⚗️ and will be interning with us over the next two months.

He plans to attend medical school and pursue a career as a physician. Outside of work, Nicholas enjoys watching the NBA 🏀, running, and spending time outdoors. Originally from the Lancaster County area, he hopes to build a long-term career serving this community.
