💙 THE WAIT IS OVER… MOXIE IS HOME! 💙

After more than 400 days in our care, Moxie has finally found her forever family — and we couldn’t be happier for her.

To be honest, we’re still not sure why it took so long. Moxie has always been one of our favorites: smart, loyal, adventurous, and full of personality. She made countless friends during her time here and stole the hearts of staff, volunteers, and visitors alike.

But as difficult as the wait was, it looks like it was worth it. Sometimes the right home takes a little longer to find.

From the updates we’ve received, Moxie is settling in beautifully and has already gotten to enjoy one of her absolute favorite activities — playing in the water! 🌊🐾 If you’ve ever met Moxie, you know there isn’t much she loves more than splashing around and having an adventure.

Judging by the smile on her face, we think she knows she’s exactly where she’s meant to be.

Thank you to everyone who shared her posts, cheered her on, and never gave up on her. Most importantly, thank you to her new Dad for seeing what we always saw: a truly special dog who was worth waiting for.

Happy tails, sweet girl. We will miss you, but our hearts are full knowing you’re finally home. ❤️🏡🐕

🐾 Meet Penne! 🐾

Penne is a 3–4 year old mixed breed who weighs just under 30 pounds and is looking for a family to call his own!

This handsome guy can be a little timid when meeting new people, but give him a little time and you’ll quickly see his goofy, lovable personality shine through. Once Penne gets comfortable, he’s all about making friends and enjoying life.

Penne does great with other dogs and enjoys canine companionship. While we aren’t 100% sure how he would do with cats, we think he would likely be okay with them.

Like many dogs who haven’t had the best start, Penne is still learning some of the basics. He is working on being housebroken and learning how to walk nicely on a leash, so he’ll need a patient family willing to continue helping him build confidence and learn new skills.

Penne is:

✅ Microchipped

Looking for a best friend who just needs a little time to show his true personality? Meet Farfalle, an adorable one-year-old mixed breed pup weighing in at around 20 pounds!

At first, Farf can be a bit shy and cautious in new situations, but once he realizes you’re a friend, his sweet and loving personality shines through. This handsome little guy enjoys the company of other animals and would likely do well in a home with canine or feline companions.

Like many young dogs, Farfalle is still learning the ropes. He will need a patient family willing to continue working on his housebreaking and leash-walking skills. With consistency, encouragement, and lots of love, we know he’s going to make wonderful progress.

At just 10 weeks old, Ditalini is an adorable puppy who we believe may be a Spaniel mix. While we can’t know for certain, we expect him to weigh approximately 20–25 pounds when fully grown.

Ditalini is everything a puppy should be—happy, playful, curious, and full of love. He has never met a stranger and is always ready to make new friends, whether they have two legs or four. His tail is constantly wagging, and he approaches life with enthusiasm and joy.

At just 1–2 years old, Ranger has quickly become a staff favorite. We honestly can’t say enough good things about this handsome guy. He absolutely loves people, is eager to please, and already knows most of his basic commands. Ranger is smart, affectionate, and always ready to be part of whatever you’re doing.

His favorite hobby? Gathering sticks! Whether it’s one stick, five sticks, or every stick he can find, Ranger takes his job very seriously. If you’ve ever wanted a dedicated yard cleanup assistant, Ranger is your guy!

🐾💕 DOUBLE THE KITTENS, DOUBLE THE FUN! 💕🐾

Meet Libby and Betsy, two little survivors who proved that family isn’t always about being related—it’s about sticking together when it matters most.

These sweet girls came from different litters but were found together in the middle of a busy road, looking out for one another. Since arriving at the shelter, their bond has only grown stronger, and we are requiring that they be adopted together.

🐱 Libby is approximately 10 weeks old.
🐱 Betsy is approximately 3½ months old.

Both girls are:
✅ Spayed
✅ Vaccinated
✅ FIV/FeLV Tested

If you’ve ever considered adopting a kitten, this is your sign to adopt two! Despite what many people think, two kittens are often easier than one. They keep each other entertained, help burn off that endless kitten energy, provide companionship when you’re away, and continue teaching each other important social skills.
