Online tickets are $14.75 for adult and $8.75 for children/seniors. They will be available until 10:00 p.m the night before we arrive (September 4th) or until sold out. On circus day, tickets can only be purchased at the box office and will be $17 for adults and $10 for children 2-12 and seniors 65 & up. No charge for children under the age of 2. Buy your tickets early! You'll save money and a higher portion of the proceeds will go to support our sponsor -- the Glenwood Rotary Club. The midway opens an hour before the show featuring a full concession stand, pony rides, face painting and inflatable rides. PLANTING PETUNIAS TO HANG AROUND THE SQUARE
The Glenwood Rotary Club recently gathered to plant the petunias in the hanging pots that the city displays around the square every summer. The Glenwood Betterment committee selects and purchases the flowers/supplies and the city hangs and maintains the flowers throughout the summer months.

Lifewise Academy Bible Education Program
Guest Speakers Cathy Riggins and Lynn Mintle presented an overview of the Likewise program:
- Bible education for public schools
- Three requirements – education held off school property; privately funded; parent approval
- Ohio based company; founded in 2018; available in 30 states
30 week sessions (30 minutes each)
- Goal – start in Glenwood in Fall 2026 with 1st grade class
- Malvern has a chapter that was very well received last year (1st and 2nd grades)

The Glenwood Rotary Club recently presented awards to 14 Glenwood High School seniors during the school's Senior Recognition program.
Six students received Citizenship medallions; six students received Community Service medallions, and two students received $1,000 scholarships. Shown in the picture are the 14 students who have done outstanding work in the classroom and in the community during their four years in high school, with their names listed below:

In recognition of our nation's 250th Anniversary, Glenwood Rotary members recently presented miniature U.S flags to the 4th grade classes at West elementary. In addition, Air Force veteran Dennis Kelly gave a brief presentation to the classes on the history of the U.S. flag and its importance to our country, along with answering questions from the 4th graders. Assisting Dennis were Rotarians Bob Cummings (Air Force veteran), Wilma Kelly, Nicole Kooiker and Patrick Umberger.

The Lakin Foundation Child Development Center of East Mills

The Glenwood Rotary Club’s 2023 annual grant supported the purchase of a musical play feature for the playground at The Lakin Foundation Child Development Center of East Mills. In 2025, the Club awarded additional funding for a Kodo Kids light table with accessories. Both additions provide inclusive, open-ended play opportunities that support creativity and development for children at the Center.

The Lakin Foundation Child Development Center of East Mills is located in a newly renovated facility in Malvern, Iowa, and opened its doors in October 2025. The Center is licensed to serve up to 136 children ages 6 weeks to 12 years and operates Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. It is state-licensed, accepts Child Care Assistance (CCA), and currently has openings available. Glenwood Rotary Club Treasurer Joe George presented $1,000 Community Service Scholarship checks over winter break to Abygale Luddington, left, (Buena Vista University) and McKenna Wilkes, right, (Iowa State University) after successfully completing the first semester at their respective schools. Aby and McKenna were recognized for their outstanding community service while attending Glenwood Community High School. Congratulations to both students as they begin their next semester!
